Toegangsbewijs Upper Belvedere, Klimt's Kiss & permanente collectie

It was incredible to see so many art works by Gustav Klimt! Wonderful experience - would have liked longer but we were on a Danube river cruise so time was limited.

Upper Belvedere contains the museum and the art collections; you can arrive directly at the Upper Palace or reach it from the Lower Belvedere (Lower Palace) by going up through gardens and waterfalls … the Palace, in the past, was an imperial residence. Tickets purchased on booking at a lower price than the official site; those under 19 do not pay. The Klimt collection alone is worth the ticket. Other extraordinary painters, the contemporary collection is very beautiful. The museum is not very big, but, in my personal experience, especially if you are visiting with children/teenagers, it is better to tackle the visit starting with the masterpieces, when energy and attention are at 90%. Unmissable.

This museum was honestly so beautiful. The tickets were reasonably priced & it wasn’t too busy. We had to queue to be let in according to the time on our ticket but the wait wasn’t longer than 10 minutes so it wasn’t an inconvenience. Whilst you wait, there is a lovely view & it’s a perfect photograph opportunity. My advice is to take your time, enjoy everything you see and find what resonates with you as it’s different for everyone. There are lockers at the museum which you can put all your valuables in, I believe it was €2 but you get the money back when you unlock the locker. There is only one toilet for women so I would suggest going to the toilet before you go as we waited quite a while.

There were many Klimt paintings in the exhibit!

It was fine, nothing much to say as this is just entry to a palace but the paintings are lovely and worth seeing

It was a wonderful museum with inspiring Impressionist works of art. It was truly a highlight of our trip to Vienna to visit the Upper Belvedere and see the Klimt original works of art up close. I would strongly recommend visitors not to miss it!

Nice museum with many interesting paintings. We had a nice afternoon and the only negative was that we unfortunately had lunch at the nearby ”Greek” restaurant Art corner.

Nice museum with plenty to look at. Well worth the visit. Unfortunately, it was quite hot even indoors.

Great experience - a lot of amazing artwork to see, plus the palace itself. Bought our tickets online ahead of time. The only disappointment was the gardens between upper and lower aren’t really maintained.

They have timed entry, so plan accordingly. Even at that, it was pretty crowded. The collection is nice it's always a privilege to see paintings/art in person. Klimpt's work was worth the crowd, but I'd suggest the rest of the museum not be skipped
