Batu Caves is een iconische en populaire toeristische attractie die u zeker moet bezoeken. Batu Caves is een kalkstenen rotsformatie net ten noorden van Kuala Lumpur en heeft drie hoofdgrotten met tempels en hindoeïstische heiligdommen. De belangrijkste attractie is het grote standbeeld van de hindoeïstische god bij de ingang, naast een steile klim van 272 treden om uiteindelijk de prachtige skyline van het stadscentrum te bekijken. Apen spelen rond de grotten. P.S. De treden naar de grotten zijn niet toegankelijk voor rolstoelen of kinderwagens.
Jadi Batik is een van de oudste batik- en handwerkcentra in Klang Valley. Bezoek de galerie en u zult leren dat batik niet zomaar een doek is met een uitgebreid stuk design. Jadi is de plek die u moet bezoeken als u uitkijkt naar een holistische ervaring in Maleisische batik en handwerk.
Masjid Negara is een van de meest vooraanstaande bezienswaardigheden in de stad. Het heeft een unieke stervormige koepel en een 73m hoge minaret. Het ontwerp van Masjid Negara combineert elementen uit de moderne architectuur en traditionele islamitische kunst, kalligrafie en versiering. De River of Life is een van de attracties van Kuala Lumpur, gelegen in de buurt van de Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad, de oudste moskee in de stad. Het is een samenkomstpunt van twee rivieren, namelijk de Klang River en de Gombak River.
Het Merdeka-plein/Onafhankelijkheidsplein ligt precies tegenover het Sultan Abdul Samad-gebouw en direct naast de Royal Selangor-club. Dit is de historische plek waar de vakbondsvlag werd gestreken en de Maleisische vlag voor het eerst werd gehesen om middernacht op 31 augustus 1957. Vanaf dat moment is het Merdeka-plein de locatie voor de jaarlijkse Onafhankelijkheidsparade.
Het iconische Sultan Abdul Samad-gebouw is een gebouw uit de late negentiende eeuw (1890) dat zich voor het Merdeka-plein/Dataran Merdeka bevindt. De architectuur van het gebouw heeft een kenmerkend Moors ontwerp
De Thean Hou-tempel is een zes verdiepingen tellende tempel van de Chinese zeegodin Mazu in Kuala Lumpur. Het staat op 1,67 acres (6.758 m2) land op Robson Heights op Lorong Bellamy, met uitzicht op Jalan Syed Putra. Het werd voltooid in 1987 en officieel geopend in 1989. De tempel werd gebouwd door Hainanese die in Maleisië woonden. Het is een van de grootste tempels in Zuidoost-Azië.
Brickfields begon als het centrum van de baksteenproductie in de late 19e eeuw, nadat een enorme brand en overstroming Kuala Lumpur in 1881 teisterden. De dubbele rampen wisselden elkaar af en verwoestten de houten en rieten structuren van de stad. Sir Frank Swettenham, destijds een Britse inwoner, reageerde door het gebruik van baksteen en dakpannen te bevelen bij de bouw van gebouwen, waarmee hij het doel van de stad tot stand bracht.
Central Market begon in 1888 als een natte markt, gebouwd door Yap Ah Loy, de Chinese Kapitan van de stad. Het diende als een prominente bezienswaardigheid in het koloniale en moderne Kuala Lumpur. Toen de markt bleef groeien, werd er een permanent gebouw gebouwd om alle verkopers te huisvesten. In de jaren 30 werd het gebouw verder geïmproviseerd tot de huidige façade. Geweldige plek om handwerk, souvenirs en ornamenten te vinden.
Petaling Street is een Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur, Maleisië. De hele omgeving staat ook bekend als Chinatown KL. Afdingen is hier een veelvoorkomend gezicht en de plek is meestal druk met zowel locals als toeristen. Het gebied heeft tientallen restaurants en eetstalletjes, die lokale favorieten serveren.

had a really enjoyable experience with the Ten Wonders of Kuala Lumpur tour. It was a convenient way to visit many of the city's famous attractions without having to worry about planning the transportation myself. The itinerary included a good mix of cultural, historical and iconic places, and the guide was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the trip. I especially enjoyed learning more about Kuala Lumpur's history and culture while visiting the different attractions. The tour was well organised and comfortable, making it a great option for first-time visitors who want to see many highlights of KL in one day. Overall, I had a memorable experience and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur.
The tour did not meet expectations. It was a disappointment. I’d recommend spend the money for a private tour or just use Grab to get from place to place. Probably decent if you only want a few photos for social media from each location but that wasn’t our intention. The pickup location changed overnight so we had to adjust our schedule to accommodate a new pickup location. The tour guide then seperated my group instead of having the last two passengers take the last two seats. The tour consisted of 17 participants plus the guide, also our driver. We were crammed into a van with a capacity of 17 passengers plus a driver. Participates struggled to make it past the second row of seats because the aisle was so narrow. The guide was only able to communicate with the participants seated in the first row and passenger seat because they did not have a microphone so everyone else missed information.. This was brought up by a couple of participants and nothing changed. Tour guests then stayed near the bus so they could get seats near the guide and ask information. The guide only offered to take pictures at one site and left guests using eachother to take pictures. The guide would provided limited information as traveled but only four participants could hear it. The windows of the van were low that observing anything during our travel and areas listed as drive by could only be observed by the participant in the passenger seat. This was disappointing. The windows also had a metal bar running across the middle of it which further constricted the view. The guide offered to take photos of the participants at only one location. The remaining stops he provided a few comments about the place and then told us what time to meet up. I learned more from Google than the guide.
Wonderful and thoughtful tour of the great highlights of Kuala Lumpur. Stephen, our guide, is well versed in the history and culture of his beautifully complex home city. It was a joy spending the day with him and learning from his experiences. This small group tour (mine had nine tourists) is a great value and an excellent way to introduce travelers to the city. I recommend this tour!
Booking this tour insured we were able to hit the main attractions without feeling overwhelmed with doing it ourselves. Stephen and Kamal were excellent. Stephen was very knowledgeable, personable and nice! Kamal made sure to safely get us to our destinations and not to mention timely pickup from our hotel.
The trip was great. We got to visit many places. I think the only thing we needed in the trip was a small break to get something to eat during lunch, but other than that everything was amazing.
The tour was okay. The guide was very good. The organisation between Tripadvisor and the company was apalling. I will never use trip advisor again
I had a wonderful experience on the Ten Wonders of Kuala Lumpur Shared Tour. Our guide, Stephen, was knowledgeable, friendly, and very caring, making sure everyone—including a wheelchair user—was comfortable throughout the tour. He shared interesting highlights of Malaysia’s history in a clear and engaging way. This tour is excellent value and highly recommended for anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur, especially if you’re only staying for a short time. Thank you, Stephen, for a memorable experience!
This is not led by a tour guide, just a driver who takes you from one location to the next with no explanation or history. It is one religious site after another, with a few stops engineered to buy things like a batiks shop, although they do show you how they are made. The Batu Caves are like Disneyland meets Hinduism and not worth the hike up the stairs. The Market is just endless stalls, as is Chinatown. It made all of Kuala Lumpur look cheesy. The plus side is you do get to all of the primary sites, just not a lot to see. Skip it and just go to the Petronas Towers on your own.

I only had one day in KL and this was the perfect tour! We started early with Batu Caves which was helpful so it was not overwhelmingly hot yet. I felt comfortable as a solo traveler and made a couple new friends with the other solo travelers. The tour guide was knowledgeable and shared an array of interesting information about each site as well as the history of Malaysia. There is no official lunch break in this itinerary so it is important to bring your own snack or take advantage of the opportunities along the way to grab a coconut water or other street food. The tour picks up at hotel but does not drop back off at hotel so need to be prepared to find transportation back after the last site. The tour ended at Petreus Towers which has a food court and easily can catch a Grab or Taxi back from there. Overall excellent experience and can highly recommend this tour!
