Ervaar hedendaags India! Een populaire bijeenkomst voor de lokale bevolking om in het weekend rond te hangen en bordspellen te spelen. Dit evenement wordt elk weekend gehouden in Church Street, de meest levendige en bruisende straat van Bangalore. Dit evenement is toegankelijk voor iedereen ouder dan 14 jaar. Mensen komen alleen of in groepjes, maar iedereen is vriendelijk en houdt van gezelligheid, nieuwe spelletjes spelen en bijkomen van een hectische werkweek. Of je nu enige game-ervaring hebt of niet, je past erin. We hebben meer dan 300 bordspellen, waaronder eenvoudige beginnersvriendelijke spellen, zware Euro-spellen en sociale spellen. We helpen je bij het vinden van een geschikt spel, spelers om mee te spelen en leren je de regels. Het evenement vindt plaats in het Purvankara Pavillion-gebouw (Na Starbucks en tegenover Matteo Coffee). Het ligt op slechts 50 meter van het metrostation MG (uitgang Church Street). Je kunt de glazen deuren van WeWork binnengaan en 'The Boardgame Den' zeggen, er zal iemand zijn om je te begeleiden. Doe met ons mee terwijl we socializen met bordspellen en koffie!

Je krijgt de kans om bordspellen te spelen en te communiceren met de lokale bevolking in een veilige, schone en gezonde omgeving. Bij binnenkomst in het gebouw ziet u iemand bij de receptie. Zeg alsjeblieft "The Boardgame Den' en laat ze je kaartje zien. Ze laten je binnen. Zodra je de begane grond betreedt, zal iemand je begeleiden. We helpen je een spel te vinden, spelers om mee te spelen en leren je de regels van de spel. Je kunt elk type spel spelen en zoveel spellen als je wilt tot het einde. Er is geen voorafgaande ervaring vereist. Er is een pantry in het centrum waar u gratis drinkwater, thee en koffie kunt krijgen. Het koffiezetapparaat sluit op zaterdag om 17.00 uur en op zondag om 16.00 uur.

I initially booked this with a friend who decided not to join, but it was still an excellent experience going as a solo traveler. This was my first trip to India, and I thought this would provide a great opportunity to hang out with some locals. I unfortunately arrived with only an hour left so I didn't get the full experience to be able to hang out with everyone, but I so wish I had been able to go for the full time. The host organizes this experience with her daughter in a WeWork. When you arrive, you're greeted by the host (I sadly didn't catch her name!) and she makes sure you're well taken care of. There are different games set up on various tables and they kindly set you up at a table with other gamers and explain the rules to you and continue to check in to make sure you're understanding and enjoying yourself. The host and her daughter were gracious enough to invite me the next weekend since I couldn't spend much time there. Sadly, I wasn't in town, but I would have definitely wanted to join.
I went with three of my friends and we had a wonderful time. It was so nice to hang out with friends without the clutch of food and drinks. We also played some big group games and everyone we played with were approachable and friendly.
Such a wonderful experience. Everyone was warm and friendly. When I entered, I saw a lot of different games laid out on the tables. All of them had different themes and I was told that they were of varied levels of complexity. I was new to gaming so the host suggested that I get seated on a table of Catan with 3 other people. None of us had played the game before. Someone taught us the rules and patiently helped us with our doubts. It was fun! I then took a short break, had some coffee and spoke to people. After that, I sat on one of the central sofa areas where we were about 10 people playing a light mafia type game. That was hilarious. It didn't even feel like we had just met. All of us were playing as if we knew each other for years. I am so glad that I joined this event. It was refreshing, fun and a great way to interact with strangers. I would suggest having a board or banner outside the door. The street has so much going on, it is easy to miss the entrance.
