We had a great private Tetebatu Walking Tour with Jonny Tour this week (June 2026). Our driver for the day, Kiki, arrived early and was excellent, safe, and incredibly personable. He kept us well-stocked with drinks and offered great flexibility with our stops. We were fortunate to have the founder, Joni, as our local guide. He provided a truly authentic look at his traditional village, showing us how locals make coffee and coconut oil. He was incredibly flexible with the itinerary, prioritizing our wish to see the black langur (ebony) monkeys before taking us to the rice fields and waterfalls. We ended up seeing about 5 different troops of 10+ monkeys each, including a few vibrant orange babies! Because we chose to spend extra time watching the monkeys, and because other travelers mentioned a nearby waterfall path was very slippery and required a river crossing, Joni easily adjusted the schedule so we could skip it without feeling rushed. Lunch was delicious, traditional food at a lovely restaurant. It was great to see they were highly accommodating of dietary restrictions, with plenty of excellent vegetarian and vegan options for both the main course and dessert. We highly recommend Jonny Tour for anyone wanting to experience authentic Lombok at a relaxed pace while stepping away from the more sterile tourist sites.
Great village walking tour, through rice fields, sample coffee and coconut milk. Waterfall amazing. Lunch soooo good. Tour guides Eddy and Kiki very informative and good English.
We had an amazing day! Kiki picked us up on time from our Villa and drove us to Tetebatu and back. Kiki was very kind and helpful. He taught us about the local culture. The car was very comfortable. Then we met our guide Johny who also was very lovely and taught us about the local village coffee, coconut oil and rice process. We were able to buy some locally produced coconut oil, spices and coffee which was reasonably priced and we were happy to be supporting the village. Both Kiki and Johny had very good English. We were introduced to many other lovely people in the village and ate a lot of delicious locally made fresh food. The waterfalls and the rice paddies were beautiful. All round a really special and wonderful experience. Highly recommend it!
Kiki (our driver) and Eddy (our guide) really went the extra mile to make this an incredible day. We were picked up right on time in a comfortable car with cold mineral water. Kiki stopped for us at the fruit market and was very helpful! You can choose lunch from a large selection on the menu and my Jackfruit curry was delicious. It is quite a distance to walk doing this tour, but the majority of the terrain was easy to walk and (even as an older couple) we did not have any trouble. Tips: Wear comfortable walking shoes and take sunscreen with you. Take your costume with you, there is a place to change before you go to the waterfall. Take (or wear) shoes with which you can walk in the water. It’s a lot of fun to walk up to the waterfall but will be uncomfortable if you have to do it barefoot. A BIG thanks to Jonny Company and especially to Kiki & Eddy 🥰
This experience was amazing!! one of the best sceneries that me and my family had ever seen Both our driver Kiki and our guide Johnny were so good to us! and we absolutely enjoyed our tour because of them!! 10/10 🌟👌🏾
Great Tour with Dani and Edi thank you for the time and knowledge you shared with us.
Very local and lovely experience with great food. Beautiful day out and introduction to Lombok experience.
Great tour with interesting insights. We got wonderful impressions of the local life of farmers, including coffee production. The walk in the rice terraces is lovely, the two waterfalls are a bit adventurous (you will get wet there), and the monkey forest is very peaceful. Tour was led by an outstanding team: Jony is the perfect guide, very knowledgeable of the area! And Kiki is a driver who also goes the extra mile. Felt very welcomed by both of them. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are in Lombok.
Such a wonderful tour! We loved learning all the knowledge Jonny had to share with us about the local culture. Swimming in the waterfall was also a highlight!!
We had a lovely time with jonny, it was a day full of adventure and beautiful scenery. He told us so much about the jungle and the life of the sasak people. You could feel the pride for his culture with every word he spoke. We got to meet the locals wo where so warm and welcoming to us even treating us to lunch. The hike was more challenging then expected but Jonny helped us all the way the way through and we got to see all the amazing sights even though our group was way slower then expected. Also our driver Kiki made the long drive to tetebatu special by telling us the first anecdotes and stories of the region making jokes along the way. If you are looking for a cultural adventure with unforgettable sights this is a must book(with jonny)!
