Ga met ons mee op deze ontspannende maar opwindende natuurlijke ervaring. Tijdens dit prachtige avontuur bezoeken we het Térraba-Sierpe National Wetland. Dit gebied omvat de grootste en belangrijkste mangrovebossen van Costa Rica. Het wetland is enorm rijk aan flora en vegetatie. Het heeft ook een grote verscheidenheid aan fauna en dient als toevluchtsoord voor vele soorten wilde dieren, zoals talloze soorten vogels en mokeys, reptielen, weekdieren en vissen, en nog veel meer. Dit alles maakt deze tour de perfecte gelegenheid om het leven te waarderen dat tot uiting komt in elke hoek waar je naar kijkt. U kunt zonder extra kosten kiezen tussen boot of kajak.

Deze tour begint bij een riviermonding van Terraba. 15 minuten van Uvita. Onze natuurgids leidt je door de mangroven van Terraba-Sierpe tijdens dit betoverende, ontspannende avontuur. De tour begint rond 07.00 uur (exacte vertrektijd is afhankelijk van het getij). PM-schema beschikbaar, afhankelijk van het getij.

The mangrove tour was an unforgettable part of our trip to Uvita. Our guide, Anner, was very informative about the wildlife, and was so easy to get to know. We had the easiest time finding the spot to launch our kayaks, and the communication with Ballena Tour was simple, easy, and fast. We deeply enjoyed this experience!

Our tour was incredible! At first it was a little confusing on where to meet, but once we found our tour guide it was awesome! We saw all the wildlife we'd hoped to see, and our guide, Angelo, was so passionate and knowledgeable about the mangrove. He made all the information come alive, and answered all of our questions. Our children, 6 and 8, loved it!
My husband and I had an excellent boat ride in the Mangrove swamps with Captain and Guide Adrian. We saw Squirrel and White Face monkeys, many birds both on the shore and in the trees and we saw a pair of owls and their fledglings. Adrian also knows a lot about the 4 kinds of mangrove trees, the lenticels growing on their roots, and other plants. An excellent tour.

Great tour, we took my teenagers and my dad and everyone enjoyed it. we saw three types of monkeys and many many birds! Elizabeth was our guide and she was very knowledgeable.

Our kayaking tour through the mangroves was the highlight of our Costa Rica adventure vacation. My wife, my two boys (14,17), me and two other participants spent three hours on the water around the Terraba Sierpe wetlands. Our guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, very kind, and clearly enjoyed sharing the experience with everyone on the tour. We saw so many amazing animals including dozens of birds, lizards, iguanas, crocodiles, snakes, and insects. Afterwards we enjoyed fresh coconut water, as in straight from the tree, provided by one of the locals. It was a fantastic adventure I’d recommend to everyone.

Awesome experience with very knowledgeable guides (Fabiola and Brainer). We learnt about the species, the ecosystem but also got to know a bit better the local indigenous culture. Fascinating. We felt very privileged to be there and to discover this more hidden side of Costa Rica.
