Onze excursie richt zich uitsluitend op Teotihuacan. We proppen geen extra sites om door Teotihuacan te snellen. Deze reis is bedoeld voor mensen die voldoende tijd in Teotihuacan willen hebben om de archeologische vindplaats te waarderen. Het grootste deel van de reis vindt plaats in Teotihuacan en omgeving. We hebben bijna alles wat u maar kunt bedenken dat u de hele dag nodig heeft, in huis. Je zou op het transport moeten kunnen stappen en je zorgen moeten maken over het verkennen van de hele dag.

Nadat u bent opgehaald en voordat u vertrekt, zal de gastheer enkele details over dit nationale monument verstrekken.
Rijd een uur om bij het Archeologisch Park van Teotihuacan aan te komen. Toiletten zijn beschikbaar bij aankomst.
Uw gastheer begint dan de ochtend in de "Templo de Quetzacoatl." (30 minuten) Ze zullen historische informatie en details verstrekken voordat ze door "la calzada de los muertos" gaan lopen, het belangrijkste toegangspunt dat destijds werd gebruikt om door de stad te reizen. (30 minuten)
Na het lopen en verkennen van de loopbrug, is er nog een toiletgelegenheid. De groep zal dan "el Museo de la Cultura Teotihuacana" betreden, het parkmuseum dat belangrijke archeologische vondsten herbergt die door de decennia heen in Teotihuacan zijn gevonden, terwijl ze vandaag de dag nog steeds nieuwe bevindingen opgraven. (30 minuten)
Zodra u het museum verlaat, bevindt de Zonnepiramide zich naast het museum. Er zal tijd worden besteed aan het bespreken van belangrijke en significante punten die verband houden met die piramide. (30 minuten) Houd er rekening mee dat er geen toegang meer is tot het beklimmen van de piramides en dat bij elke groep die een dergelijke ervaring aanbiedt, verouderde informatie is geplaatst. Houd er rekening mee dat deze excursie fysieke activiteiten en terrein met zich mee kan brengen die uitdagingen kunnen opleveren voor personen met bepaalde handicaps. We streven ernaar om iedereen tegemoet te komen, maar het is belangrijk om rekening te houden met uw persoonlijke mogelijkheden voordat u deelneemt. Neem gerust vooraf contact met ons op om specifieke problemen of vereisten voor een meer op maat gemaakte ervaring te bespreken.
Kort daarna zal de groep overgaan naar de Maanpiramide. (30 minuten)
Ten slotte zal de groep, voordat ze zich voorbereiden om het park te verlaten, een bezoek brengen aan “el palacio de Quetzalpapalotl”, een van de gedeeltelijk gerestaureerde ruïnes waardoor je je kunt voorstellen hoe deze prachtige stad ooit was. Er zal nog een toiletmogelijkheid zijn voordat u het park verlaat. (30 minuten)
We zullen dan overgaan naar het verkennen van de ondergrondse grotten die ooit ook pre-Teotihuacan huizen en later heilige ruimtes voor de Teotihuacan mensen waren. In de grotten gaan we verder met het verkennen van wat mensen vandaag en toen beschouwden als heilige ruimtes, waaronder een gedeelte van de grot dat een mystiek ontzag kan bieden. Houd er rekening mee dat deze excursie fysieke activiteiten en terrein kan omvatten die uitdagingen kunnen vormen voor personen met bepaalde handicaps. We streven ernaar iedereen tegemoet te komen, maar het is belangrijk om je persoonlijke capaciteiten te overwegen voordat je deelneemt. Neem gerust vooraf contact met ons op om eventuele specifieke zorgen of vereisten te bespreken voor een meer op maat gemaakte ervaring.
Lunch is onze volgende stop. Het is een vijfgangenlunch met een verscheidenheid aan verschillende smaken eten uit centraal Mexico. Stel de gastheer op de hoogte als er speciale dieetbeperkingen in acht moeten worden genomen. (60 minuten) Ten slotte is er een optionele tequila- en mezcal-proeverij samen met andere lokale producten voordat we naar huis gaan. Hier wordt ook uitgelegd hoe enkele van de meest traditionele producten van Mexico worden gemaakt. (30 minuten)
Vanaf hier reizen we terug naar het zuiden om terug te komen in Mexico-Stad. (60 minuten)

We really enjoyed our tour with Tania of Teotihuacan! She was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. She was great at answering all of our questions along the tour and took lots of great photos of us. Tania has curated a great tour itinerary that highlights the history of this special place and the people who lived there. We also really enjoyed the 5 course Mexican lunch and she accommodated our need for some vegetarian meals. This is not a large commercial tour, but rather a personal guide that made our experience incredible. Highly recommend booking a tour with Tania!
Explored the temple area with friends and our guide Tania. She is a great guide, very accommodating and knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour with her to any of you. There is a lot of walking so bring good shoes.
Perfect day trip! We had a great, fun, and engaging tour guide (Tanya) who gave us an in-depth tour of the pyramids and a local cave. Lunch at a local restaurant was delicious and then we visited a local stone artisan shop and then got a tour of the artists at work and met Mexican hairless dogs. Highly recommend this tour!
We had a fantastic day. Tan is a terrific guide, very knowledgeable, very fun, always prepared with snacks and water. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was a highlight of our Mexico City visit.
Highly recommend this tour! We were undecided if we wanted/needed a guide and are so glad we decided on it. The knowledge and history provided was very helpful and interesting to learn. The cave was very cool and the lunch was fantastic!
I thought the value was great for the experience. Got to try a curated lunch of food that is representative of the culture and often seasonal. I got what I wanted which was an experience. I don’t do many tours because I’m independent and introverted but for some things, I feel a tour is the way to go or else I’m wasn’t my own time and time is something I’m not willing to waste. Without the history and context from the tour, the pyramids would just be a great photo and sight but soulless. I could have also done my own research but that’s where I had to weigh doing things myself or getting someone else to do it. I truly got an experience and that is the value.
We had a great time and learned so much from our guide. If we did the sight on our own, it would just looking at mounds of rocks. She was so kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. The lunch tasting was delicious too.
Lots of walking and stair climbs but it was at the perfect laid back pace. Our guide, Tania was amazing, both knowledgeable and friendly. The food and snacks were a great bonus on the tour.
We just completed this outstanding outing to the Teotihuacan pyramids with Tania. Starting with the helpfully detailed itinerary that allowed us to know what to expect, followed effective pre-tour communication, and the on-time departure, we were off to a great start. Our drive up went by quickly and was filled with interesting conversation and information about what we were seeing. We were amongst the first to arrive at the site, and for the first part our small group was almost alone. This made the early start worthwhile. Tania is an effective and engaging guide and she communicates clearly. She is able to impart an understanding of the context and meaning of the buildings, which gives life to the structures and the entire site. Teotihuacan pyramids are impressive structures, set in a space of other remarkable constructions. Visiting here with a guide to provide fitting narrative and information makes the experience really meaningful. Without the interpretation, like so many historical sites, it’s just a bunch of rocks. The visit to the site museum was further helpful in understanding the history and society that inhabited the city. The model of the full site, including what is excavated and restored as well as what is still hidden underground, further underscores the immensity of the city. Our visit to the lava tube cave was fun and provided further context and understanding. The lunch stop was a much-appreciated opportunity to rest and experience local foods in a pleasant setting, at a short distance but distant enough to not be a “process a tourist” eatery. The food was outstanding. This tour was an outstanding experience. We experienced a lot for the time we spent, but at no time did we feel rushed. It’s highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience and learn about these pyramids and the history that they embody.
Where to begin.... Let's begin with Tania- her passion and knowledge for the Teotihuacan Pyramids and its inhabitants is amazing. Around every corner she had some other nugget of information she wanted to share. She’s fun, professional, passionate about her work and her country, and delightful to spend time with. We picked this tour because the description of the tour was so well-detailed, we knew we would get to see the things important to us. That said, our day of exploration was still full of surprises for us. It was obvious Tania is an expert on the site and knows how to dodge and weave around the crowds, so her guests have the best experience. We moved at just the right pace to ensure we saw as much as possible and still had time at each special spot. Honestly, I felt very bad for people visiting the site who didn’t have a guide with them, as there were so many layers of information that we wouldn’t have had if we’d just come on our own. It was wonderful to get to visit the museum, as well as the Pyramids. Having already visited the Museo Nacional de Antropología in Mexico City, the artifacts at the small on-site museum helped connect what we’d seen at the giant museum to the experience of the Pyramids. Lunch was tasty, fun, and included both familiar and new-to-us Mexican dishes. While we ate, Tania pulled out her tablet to continue sharing details of the site, the excavation, and how the archeological importance of the area impacted locals. There were so many Teotihuacan tours to choose from, and we honestly felt like we won the lottery by picking this one.
