Reisroute

Diana is the best, we’d recommend her 100%. She is kind, easy going, extremely knowledgeable and knows the right amount of information to give. It was also great to get context on CDMX in general as we drove out to the pyramids, and she happily answered all kinds of questions. On our tour we had our two families which included four teen/tweens and everyone of all ages had a great time. With this tour you get to skip the very long lines while learning about the history of what you are seeing (there are few placards and even then they are in Spanish). We got dropped off right at the back entrance for private tours, walked and learned our way to the other side of the grounds where Diana’s driver picked us up. The van was really nice and comfortable. Be sure to bring sunscreen, hat and comfy walking shoes. There are lots of stairs, some you can opt out of but some not. Also, there is a restaurant 5m away calked La Gruta that is in a cave. Yes, touristy but it’s been there since the early 1900’s and was really good. When do you get to eat in a cave? You can also find more information about Diana’s woman owned business through her private website.
Guide Clara and her driver picked us up in Roma Norte for the tour. Clara was charming, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We spent about two hours at the site. It was fascinating and a must see if you have any interest in archeology and are in CDMX. Highly recommended.
This private tour was an excellent way to experience the wonders of Teotihuacan life. We learned so much from our tour guide Alma who was not only knowledgeable and professional, but also very much attuned to, and respectful of the indigenous ways of life of the Teotihuacan peoples. What we loved about Alma is the way she shared knowledge without being too overwhelming. She also seemed to enjoy the tour as if it were her first time. That's such a wonderful trait to have as a tour guide. She spoke loud enough so as to not "compete" with other tour guides. Our tour's itinerary was well organized and our drive to the pyramids was excellent (thanks to our driver Feli). We couldn't have asked for a better tour.
This tour was perfect from start to finish. Edgar and Rosa picked us up on time. We B lined it for the pyramids and arrived right at opening. Getting there for opening is so important from what I could tell. We left Roma Norte at 7:00am to do this. Many other tours leave at 8:00am or later. This is too late. The second main point is that we had a private tour. I won’t attach the images of what a large group looks like but trust me you want none of it. Rosa was the tour guide and she was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the pyramids and Mexico’s history. She’s very down to earth and I truly enjoyed the side conversations we shared throughout the tour. We were back to our hotel by noon avoiding any traffic issues. Highly recommend. Private tours cost more but they are superior.
Diana runs the company and was my original point of contact. We booked directly through the Local Vibes website. She was very helpful and good about getting back to us regarding any of our questions. Payment was easy. We were a private party of four. We were picked up by a driver (forgive me, but I cannot remember his name) and our guide, Yosafat. They were right on time (7am) and picked us up outside where we were staying. The ride out was comfortable in a nice passenger van and Yosafat told us some interesting things about the areas outside Mexico City that we traveled though. Yosafat was great throughout. Nothing bad to say. He took care of the admission tickets and got us right in. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about Teotihuacan and the people who lived there. We asked lots of questions and never stumped him. We very much enjoyed our time with him and highly recommend him as a guide. The little museum at the end is actually worth a stop. There are some interesting artifacts that help in understanding some of the things you learn about on the tour. We allowed 3 hours for the tour, we probably could have allowed a little more time. We had reservations at a restaurant and we kind of had to hurry toward the end. We went to La Gruta restaurant after the tour and I'd also recommend that. It's in a natural cave which is a fun setting, but the food is also quite good. Overall, I'd definitely use this company again.
Our driver was Edgar and tour guide was Rosa. Both were super kind! Rosa was very knowledgeable and provided us with the history of the site. 🤠 We highly recommend both folks.
We had a fantastic time on our private tour to Teotihuacan with Rosa Maria. She picked us up promptly at 7 AM from our Airbnb in Roma Norte, and we were back by noon in time for lunch. The ride was comfortable, and the tour itself was both informative and wide-ranging. Rosa Maria got us there early and smartly started at the Temple of the Feathered Serpent (don’t skip it!), which made it feel like we had the site almost entirely to ourselves for most of the tour. She brought great energy, and her knowledge added real depth as we explored this fascinating chapter of Mesoamerican history.
Are Tour Guide and driver Monica and Octavio were amazing. Monica was very knowledgeable and very thorough in the tour. The car was very well maintained and easily fit our party of six. We were very happy with our experience and highly recommend them.
Mónica was exceptional! She was playful and patient with my young sons, bringing special bingo-style sheets to engage them. Her expertise brought the history and culture to life.
Premium travel experience that skips all the tourist traps and takes you there and back with a knowledgeable guide and professional driver.
