Tijdens deze tour loop je samen met een lokale gids door de wijk "La Latina" om de geschiedenis ervan te ontdekken via enkele van de meest authentieke tavernes die nog steeds in Madrid bestaan. Ons doel is dat u de kans krijgt om lokaal te spelen terwijl u de lokale keuken proeft. Daarvoor nodigen wij u uit om met ons door de straten van deze emblematische wijk te wandelen. Op deze manier kun je onze cultuur, haar gebruiken en uitspraken leren kennen en de ware magie van het leven in deze geweldige stad ervaren. Kom gezellig eten, wij verzekeren u dat u tevreden deze bijeenkomst verlaat!

Aan het begin van de tour zullen we iets vertellen over de geschiedenis van Madrid, wat het Madrid van de Oostenrijkers is en hoe de geschiedenis het lokale eten heeft beïnvloed. Ons doel is dat ze een authentiek Madrid leren kennen, een lokaal Madrid.
De wijk "La Latina", een traditionele wijk, herbergt tegenwoordig veel toerisme, maar als je weet hoe je moet zoeken, kun je de beste plekken vinden. Traditionele tavernes waar u de meest typische tapas van deze stad kunt proberen. We zullen op verschillende plaatsen stoppen om de lokale keuken te proeven.
De "Mercado de San Miguel" is de beroemdste markt die tegenwoordig in Madrid te vinden is. Het bezoek is een must-see als het je eerste keer in deze stad is. En als je het al kent, kan het nooit kwaad om het nog eens te bezoeken.
Tijdens onze tour maken we een stop bij Plaza Mayor. Het meest emblematische plein in Madrid. Hier zullen we iets vertellen over het belang van dit plein voor de stad en haar geschiedenis.
Ons laatste restaurant bevindt zich in Embroiderers Street, vlakbij Plaza Mayor. Daar zullen we de nieuwste tapas proeven die we voor deze tour hebben geselecteerd en bij vertrek beëindigen we de tour.

Our guide Maya did an amazing job. The first stop on the trip The family restaurant Casa Paco was not a good experience, the staff did not greet and it seemed almost as if they had forgotten we came, we were served red wine in wet glasses that were not washed off properly. The other 3 stops on the trip were ok

This was a super fun food tour. Our guide, Maya, was very knowledgeable about the food we tasted and how it is prepared. She knew about the history of the area and the buildings. There were 3 different food and wine stops and each was very different, but very good. We enjoyed the walk through some neighborhoods we had not been before. The tapas all were so good, as well as the wines. We were able to taste the Spanish vermut, which was very different for us. A super nice evening with good food and a very good guide.
