Onze tour neemt je mee door de historische en levendige wijk M'sallah, de oude stad en de Kasbah, gelegen in het hart van Tanger, bekend om zijn traditionele architectuur en smalle steegjes. Je bezoekt lokale markten en observeert verkopers van verse producten, ambachtslieden en het echte gemeenschapsleven in actie. Naast de verschillende proeverijen waar uw groep van zal genieten, zal uw gids de geschiedenis, cultuur, tradities en algemene levensstijl bespreken. Maak kennis met onze gids op Sour Meêgazine na de briefing in het prachtige uitzicht loop naar de oude medina van Tanger, begin de wandeling vanaf een van de oudste markten in de stad en begin met het proeven van een aantal lokale specialiteiten zoals de kaas, wat vers fruit, Marokkaans gebak. .. wandelen tussen de smalle straatjes van de stad is zo'n leuke ervaring, vooral met een gepassioneerde gids. ga verder naar Alkasbah en drink een kopje muntthee met wat versgebakken broodboter en honing, neem rustig de tijd om het geluid van water te horen en ga daarna voor een kleine wandeling naar het restaurant en geniet van een driegangenmaaltijd met uitzicht op het terras van een plaatselijk restaurant, daarna staat uw dessert gepland in Elhafa café.

We had a wonderful and full circle experience! We tried different foods (I particularly appreciate the "hole on the walls" kind of places), while having everything beautifully tied with history and stories about the city and even visiting some local crafts places that just took the experience really to another level! We had the absolute pleasure of exploring Tangier’s culinary gems with Rabab, our guide. From the moment we met her, her warmth and friendliness set the tone for a relaxed and engaging experience. She led us through a thoughtfully curated route that avoided the typical tourist hot spots giving us a true taste of Tangier as the locals know it. The highlight was undoubtedly the bissara soup, served piping hot in a tucked-away spot down a quiet back street. Rabab was an amazing guide, she took us to the local markets away from the tourist areas so we could experience the real local cuisine. We has such a great time and enjoyed so much food. We especially loved the swordfish tagine.

We took this food tour with Mohammed, a kind and knowledgeable young guide. There were only the 2 of us on the tour, this allowed us to go even deeper in the culture as well, indeed Mohammed replied to all our curiosities about life here apart from the food ones. Our gluten free request (my boyfriend is celiac) was met. The highlight for us was the visit to the fruit and vegetables market and especially the one to the fish and meet market, quite impressing for us. Overall, highly recommended tour :)

My husband and I traveled with my in-laws to Tangier on 21/3/23 and met our guide Mohammed for a food tour. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour and guide during our time in Morocco. Mohammed took us to places tourists would never be able to find, and most importantly showed us everyday life of Moroccans by walking us through the markets and neighborhoods and all around the Medina. Mohammed was very knowledgeable and gave us loads of history which our group loved. We had a variety of good snacks and traditional food throughout the day ( do not eat before this tour). I would highly recommend Mohammed to anyone visiting Tangier or Morocco, he helped make our day stress-free and gave us an unforgettable experience. Thanks Mohammed!
