Asilah, de eerste haven van de Atlantische kust, werd in de 8e eeuw voor Christus gesticht door de Feniciërs, die de nederzetting Zili noemden. Asilah was een constant slagveld. In 1589 ging de controle over van de Portugezen naar de Spanjaarden, die de stad 80 jaar vasthielden voordat Sultan Moulay Ismail de verdediging bestormde in 1691 De Spanjaarden bouwden een harmonieuze nieuwe stad naast de medina, van waaruit een langzaam evoluerende nieuwe haven en stranden zich noordwaarts langs de kust uitstrekken. From the moment we (2 Latin American girls from California) arrived at the airport, to the end of the tour, we were treated so kindly by the guides. They made us feel so welcome and safe. Nizar drove us safely to all the sites, from Assilah the artsy coastal city with amazing ocean views, to the cool Hercules caves, and finally to the busy and bustling Tangier. Raffi explained everything and gave us such great information about every place and went out of his way to take the best photos of us. Nizar and Raffi were so sweet, funny, and attentive. We enjoyed learning about the caves, and about Moroccan culture. Nizar spoke Spanish with us, which was really great. They really made our first day in Morocco truly memorable. Thank you!! Very good tour with wonderful sightseeing and many explaining of Assilah and Tangier places. I recommend this for time saving at tangier area.
This day trip was a perfect time to visit Tanger and make ourserlf an idea about the alive city and the culture. The excursion is perfect for going in couple or with firends. The guide was wonderful, he shared lots of stories and showed us different places that he knows, so more the authentic details than the touristic ones. As puntual as professional, he's available for answering all kind of questions and flexible to do whatever you want. He is really a good local company to visit Tanger and surrounds.
