Tadzjikistan : All-inclusive zevenmerentour vanuit Samarkhand

Was a great trip and absolutely worth it! We had a great guide in Tajikistan (Dilo) and the driver there was also fantastically navigating the bumpy mountain roads! The scenery was beautiful and we had enough time at each stop, it didn't feel rushed. We also got to see a local market in Panjakent and meet local children in one of the mountain villages. Some things, however, are good to know: the road is reallilly bumpy for about two hours each way, you need to cross the border yourself without guide (was no problem) and the driver who picked us up in Samarkand didn't speak any English.

It was an excursion that far exceeded my expectations in a positive way. We were picked up from the hotel on time, driven to the border of Tajikistan, and then welcomed by a very friendly and competent guide. The drive into the Fann Mountains and to the seven lakes was adventurous because the villages, the people there, and the overwhelming mountain landscape left a deep impression. Our guide and the driver accompanied the tour with a lot of dedication and confidence. Tip: You do not need to exchange money. We were well taken care of along the way and did not have any shopping opportunities.

Very good tour, a bit strenuous due to the long drive on bumpy roads, the seat spacing in the bus is much too small, so bad for tall people. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about

The Seven Lakes were amazing to discover, hidden between marvelous mountains, and requiring quite an effort to drive to. Our driver and guide (shout-out to Dodo!) on the Tajikistan side of the trip have been a pleasure to be with. We started with a small break at the bazar in Panjakent, and then headed to the lakes, where we had a great local lunch with and incredible view. At the last lake we were invited to go for a swim in the freezing water. Just beware, if you get car sick, be prepared, as the road is very bumpy! So much fun though! Unfortunately, we didn't manage to go to the archeological site of Sarazm, included in the price, as we didn't come back in time. Fortunately, we didn't have to fight against other tourists for space, maybe we we've just been lucky, but I'm sure this will change in the future. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Fantastic experience, from the pick-up at my hotel, to the guide, the minibus used for the excursion, and the driver. I must compliment the entire staff. The border crossing was simple and well-organized. The road up to the 7 lakes is unpaved and a bit bumpy, but it is definitely worth the trip up there to over 2000 meters. Lunch is included, simple but excellent with plov, salad, and watermelon. Drinks included. Restaurant on the shore of the third lake. Highly recommended!

Tajikistan seven lakes were absolutely stunning and one of the highlights of my trip to central asia, but what really made the day special was our guide Shohruh. Who is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful, and so easy to spend the day with. the mountain drive is very bumpy in parts, but the scenery is spectacular and absolutely worth it. i especially loved our conversations throughout the day. earlier, Shohruh mentioned qurutob, a traditional tajik dish, and i said i would love to try it. later, he went out of his way to stop at a local restaurant so i could. it was delicious and such a thoughtful gesture. by the end of the day, it felt less like a tour with a guide and more like spending the day with a new friend. thank you, Shohruh , for a wonderful introduction to tajikistan!

We booked a day tour from Samarkand to the 7 Lakes in Tajikistan in August. We set off without high expectations and returned completely impressed. That was not only due to the beautiful nature, but also to the extremely friendly people and our great guide Dilo and our driver Ali. Rarely had we experienced such an enthusiastic, humorous, professional, and entertaining tour guide. After we were picked up on time in Samarkand, it was only a short walk across the border and we were already warmly welcomed by our tour guide. Via Panjakent, a visit to the bustling bazaar and the restaurant, we went up into the mountains to the 7 Lakes in a comfortable bus (16 seats). There was sufficient time for photo stops and an extensive lunch break and picnic (all inclusive) by an idyllic stream. Dilo answered all our questions with a lot of knowledge and we learned a lot about the country, its history, and the people. From the 6th lake there was then a nice walk to the 7th lake, where we were able to swim. After almost 12 hours in Tajikistan (including border crossing), we were then picked up again by our Uzbek driver at the border. It was a wonderful excursion, not least thanks to our great tour guide Dilo and the perfect organization.

The tour guide Mourad was exceptionally, very friendly, kind and informative! Also the driver big respect to drive on the mountainous ride which it was really tricky with a 19seat bus. The daytrip though it was very extended due to crossing borders on foot which takes a lot of time but it is worth it after all!

A wonderful lasting impression of Tajikistan by a wonderful guide, Dodo and driver, Fairou. They both made me feel comfortable and welcome in their country. Fairou is a very safe driver in Tajikistan and Dodo is wonderful, professional, and courteous tour guide. I had the best time and saw the spectacular and beautiful 7 lakes of Tajikistan!
