Taiko is een traditioneel muziekinstrument waar iedereen direct van kan genieten. De ervaring van samen oefenen, één nummer spelen en één worden met anderen is een van de meest waardevolle ervaringen in Japan. De drums van deze studio worden op de traditionele manier gemaakt, door ze uit een grote enkele boom te hollen en ze zijn erg zeldzaam. Je kunt genieten van echte Japanse drums. De Taiko-ervaring is niet alleen een plezierige muzikale ervaring, maar het is ook een full-body workout die stress verlicht. De ervaring is geschikt voor alle leeftijden en niveaus van bekwaamheid, dus iedereen kan ervan genieten. Sinds de oudheid is Taiko nauw verbonden met het leven van het Japanse volk. Via Taiko kun je meer leren over de Japanse cultuur en geschiedenis, evenals de spiritualiteit van het Japanse volk.

- Zorg dat je 15 minuten voor aanvang van de bijeenkomst aanwezig bent. Houd er rekening mee dat u vanwege de treintijd, als u te laat bent voor de starttijd, niet kunt deelnemen, zelfs als u ons belt.
- Duur is inclusief ervaring en transfertijd. U kunt verwachten dat u ongeveer 2,5 tot 3 uur na de starttijd terugkeert naar Kyoto Station. De exacte timing kan enigszins variëren, afhankelijk van de dienstregeling van de trein. Het vroegtijdig verlaten van de les wordt afgeraden, dus zorg ervoor dat je voldoende tijd inruimt bij het plannen van je activiteiten achteraf.
- Er zijn bepaalde dagen waarop reserveringen voor een enkele deelnemer niet beschikbaar zijn. Op die dagen kunt u nog steeds aansluiten door een boeking te maken voor twee deelnemers en de vergoeding voor twee te dekken. Wij vragen uw begrip en medewerking.
- Het duurt ongeveer 12 minuten met de JR trein van Kyoto Station naar Takatsuki Station, dat is het dichtstbijzijnde station naar de studio. Echter, als je een taxi rechtstreeks vanuit Kyoto neemt, duurt het meer dan een uur en het taxitarief zal vrij duur zijn. Met files kan het zelfs langer duren, dus we raden niet aan om een taxi rechtstreeks van Kyoto naar de studio te nemen.
- Belangrijke info weer!! Over Ontmoetingsplaats en tijd. Vanwege de dienstregeling van de trein kunnen we niet wachten op laatkomers en worden er geen restituties verstrekt. Zorg er dus voor dat je op tijd aanwezig bent. Ook als u contact met ons opneemt, kunnen wij helaas niet op u wachten. Kyoto Station is groot. Zorg dat je ruim op tijd aanwezig bent en controleer de ontmoetingsplaats op Kyoto station. Als u verdwaalt op Kyoto Station, vraag het personeel van het station waar de centrale uitgang (niet de Shinkansen centrale uitgang) is. Het is niet Shinkansen Central Ticket Gate.
- Kinderen jonger dan 7 jaar mogen niet deelnemen.

The taiko experience was exceptional. It was a fun, cultural and instructive experience enjoyed by the whole family, a highlight of our trip to Japan. Akemi was remarkable and made this time a treasure to remember.
Meeting our host Mie was easy at Kyoto station and the train trip and car ride to the studio took less than 30 mins, very easy. The drumming was challenging for us beginners but we managed (with friendly encouragement from our instructor & Mie) to beat out a great tune! Highly recommend!
My first time in Kyoto visiting my Japanese friend . We loved this show ! The drummers and flutist were so amazingly talented ! They were professional and gave 100% of themselves during the show ! We felt so energized afterwards and took us awhile to calm down because you can feel the beat of the drums in your whole body . Really fun !
The Taiko experience was a lot of fun! It’s a professional drumming studio and the drums we are high quality … they make such a satisfying sound. The teachers led us in a structured yet enjoyable way. Highly recommend
This a lot of fun and gives you an appreciation for hard taiko is. Michiko was very engaging and helpful. The instructor was great.
Michiko met us at the train station and led us to the TAIKO studio. 1st we learned about the history behind TAIKO drumming, next, we got to watch a live performance, then it was our turn to bang the drums! We made our own headbands with KANJI characters depicting our hopes, dreams, and goals and after learning a song donned an official looking happi for our final performance which we videoed! The whole experience was so different and amazing, it is something everyone should put on their Japan experience bucket list.

It drives the march, it calls the charge, it seals the fated breath— and those who follow where it leads may walk the road to death.” The boy grew tall, his rhythm strong, his spirit fierce and clear— the drumbeat thrummed within his chest louder year by year. And when the banners crossed the hills, and iron sang its cry, he took the drum upon his back and would not pass it by. Oh hear the drum, my only son… Across the smoke, across the din, his cadence cut the air— it steadied hearts, it summoned will, it answered each despair. Men moved as one beneath its call, as if by unseen thread— the living marched more bravely on, the dying raised their head. But arrows fall as silence falls, and steel forgets the song— the rhythm breaks, the voice goes still, the echo is not long. They brought him home on quiet feet, his drum beside him laid— no war cry now, no rising beat, only the hush it made. This Taiko experience was a highlight of our trip to Japan! It was informative and exciting! The drums are fun to beat and we learned how to play a song! The host and Taiko professional were wonderful! I highly recommend this experience!!
The Taiko experience was wonderful from the first greeting to the last farewell!! Michiko was warm and attentive. Her presentation was informative and fun! The Taiko instructor was friendly and patient. Beating the drums was so fun and we actually learned a Taiko routine that was challenging and exhilarating! The Taiko teacher was a professional in every way! We highly recommend this experience!!!!
