Beleef een onvergetelijke, milieuvriendelijke lagune-excursie in Tahiti met je deskundige gids. Deze unieke excursie dompelt je onder in de lokale geschiedenis en cultuur terwijl je Papeete ontdekt, het historische en economische hart van het eiland. Verken surfspots en ontdek de oorsprong van het surfen, bekend als Horue. Onder en boven water kun je in de Nuuroa-lagune dolfijnen, pijlstaartroggen, veelkleurige vissen en groene schildpadden tegenkomen. We snorkelen op een verantwoorde manier, respecteren de mariene ecosystemen en maken onze reizigers bewust van de lokale biodiversiteit en het behoud ervan. Aan boord van onze moderne, comfortabele boot geniet je van de bescherming van een luifel en leren kussens, terwijl je naar muziek luistert via ons Rockford Fosgate-audiosysteem. Vertrek vanuit je hotel of de jachthaven in Papeete, waar je kapitein en natuurgids je verwelkomen voor een onvergetelijk avontuur op zee. Samen zet je koers naar de pas van Papeete, terwijl je luistert naar de fascinerende verhalen van je gids over de geschiedenis van de wijk Teporionu, die ooit Papeete, Pirae en Arue omvatte. Bereid je tijdens het varen voor op een magisch moment als je tuimelaars rond de boot ziet spelen. Dit is een ideale gelegenheid voor je gids om zijn kennis te delen over de verschillende soorten walvisachtigen die in Polynesië te zien zijn en hun essentiële rol in dit mariene ecosysteem.
Daarna stop je bij de beroemde pijlstaartroggenplek, waar je Charlotte en haar metgezellen ontmoet. In dit kristalheldere water kun je het geluk hebben adelaarsroggen te zien die sierlijk voorbij glijden en doosvissen die de stroming van de 'hoa' volgen, een natuurlijk kanaal dat door het gebied loopt. Op dit magische moment kun je snorkelen en deze fascinerende wezens observeren in een serene, ongerepte onderwateromgeving.
Op naar het Papa Whiskey aquarium. Deze plek is een echt juweeltje en biedt waarschijnlijk een van de prachtigste tinten blauw die Tahiti te bieden heeft. Het uitzonderlijk heldere water nodigt uit tot een ontdekkingstocht als geen ander. En er is nog zoveel te ontdekken onder de oppervlakte! Je kunt de overblijfselen bewonderen van een vliegtuig dat in de jaren 1980 neerstortte, evenals historische walvisboten uit de jaren 1890 en 1900 die voor de walvisvaart werden gebruikt. Maar daar houdt het avontuur niet op: duik in een verbazingwekkende omgeving waar een bureau op de zeebodem met een ondergedompelde laptop je een unieke kans biedt om verrassende en gedenkwaardige foto's te maken. Een onvergetelijke ervaring die geschiedenis, mysterie en natuurlijke schoonheid combineert!
Voordat je de lagune verlaat, stop je bij de Taapuna-golf, een iconische plek voor alle surfers die Tahiti hebben bezocht. Deze plek is populair vanwege de perfecte golven en biedt een adembenemend uitzicht op de oceaan en het eiland Tahiti. Het is ook een ideale gelegenheid voor je gids om uit te leggen hoe de kanalen worden gevormd en om je bewust te maken van de milieukwesties die komen kijken bij het behoud van koraalriffen en het mariene ecosysteem eromheen.
Na een korte zeetocht langs het koraalrif kom je aan bij de surfspot Sapinus tegenover het museum, een unieke plek waar een zoetwaterbron slechts 3 meter onder het oppervlak ligt. Deze plek is een waar toevluchtsoord voor groene schildpadden, die hier permanent leven. Ze zijn erg sociaal en bewegen zich vreedzaam om je heen zolang je een respectvolle afstand bewaart. Het is de perfecte gelegenheid om deze prachtige zeedieren van dichtbij te bekijken terwijl je snorkelt in kristalhelder water achter het barrièrerif.
Om dit avontuur in stijl af te sluiten, krijg je de kans om te genieten van een heerlijke rauwe vis in Tahitiaanse stijl, een traditioneel gerecht dat symbool staat voor Polynesië en geliefd is bij alle reizigers. Geniet van dit verfrissende gerecht op een uitgestrekte, ondiepe zandbank omringd door het turquoise water van de lagune. Bij dit moment kun je je verfrissen met lokale vruchtensappen.

We kunnen toestemming vragen om deelnemers op te halen die in het Hilton Tahiti verblijven. Als ze ermee instemmen, kunnen we de deelnemers ophalen en afzetten bij de steiger van het Pension.

We had a great day out on the lagoon. The stand outs for us were the passion and commitment the team had to the welfare of the sea life and the care and attention they applied to making sure we were always safe in the water and comfortable. Getting to see and swim with the turtles was a highlight. The lunch was nice also ! We missed the whale watching season as it starts later in the month , but we will be back and join these guys again , Māuruuru roa !

Good communications prior to our adventure that focused on our snorkeling experience, health, and any dietary issues. Arrived at the pickup point on time. Very knowledgeable about marine life, did a good job teaching us about things we might see and did see. Very responsive to any need (getting wet suits on, getting in/out boat, something to drink). Healthy emphasis on safety. Very professional and friendly bunch.

Water can be a bit murky and lots of wind but the tour operators were awesome and gave us the complete tour both inside and outside of the water. We also had a delicious lunch!

We had an amazing day with our captain and guide! So knowledgeable about anything you wanted to know. True stewards of the environment and animals. We saw many fish in multiple spots and safety always top of mind. Ended our day with a tasty Tahitian lunch and drink. Would definitely do this again!!

These people go above and beyond to entertain and educate guests about marine life and Tahiti. They make it a fun excursion ending with a lunch standing waist deep in crystal clear water on a sand bar. Well worth the money.

Very nice tour of the lagoon and beyond. Did two different snorkel dives. Saw many fish and turtles. The guide and boat captain both nice and informative about the area. The Lunch was a delicious local fish bowl. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely unforgettable! Adrienne was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, Israel brought the true “Mana” (he’s basically a whale whisperer!), and Teiki took such wonderful care of us. We were lucky enough to see spinning dolphins and several whales, and they explained everything so well—why we approached the way we did and how to respect the animals. The highlight was finding a mother and calf. We swam close enough that we actually had to back away to avoid touching them. Being in the water with these gentle giants was beyond words—truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’ll never forget!
