Deze reis neemt je mee naar de perfect gevormde haven van Symi, een van de mooiste ansichtkaartdorpen met neoklassieke pastelkleurige huizen. Je hebt vrije tijd om de leuke winkeltjes te verkennen op zoek naar natuurlijke zeesponzen en kookkruiden. Waarom niet lunchen met verse vis in de zon in een van de tavernes aan zee op het eiland. Na de lunch vaart de boot naar het zuiden van het eiland, hier langs de inham staat het massieve gebouw van het Panormitis-klooster. Dit klooster is gewijd aan de aartsengel Michaël en heeft een charmante klokkentoren en een prachtige kerk uit de 12e eeuw. Het is een bekende plek van groot belang en trekt veel bezoekers en gelovigen die de Byzantijnse fresco's en de gegraveerde tempel vol gouden offergaven komen bekijken.

Je wordt met de bus opgehaald bij je hotel en naar de haven van Rhodos gebracht (de duur van de transfer hangt af van de omgeving van je hotel). U stapt dan op de boot om naar Symi Island te varen. De duur van de reis is ongeveer 1u20min.
Bezoek aan de perfect gevormde haven van Symi, een van de mooiste ansichtkaartdorpen met neoklassieke pastelkleurige huizen. Je krijgt de geweldige kans om begeleid te worden door een professionele gids en je hebt vrije tijd om een wandeling over het eiland te maken, verse zeevruchten te eten in een van de lokale taverna's (optioneel) en om de kleine winkeltjes met lokale producten te bezoeken ( sponzen, kruiden, honing). Je stapt aan boord, die vaart naar het klooster van Panormitis. De duur van de reis is ca. 30 minuten.
Dit klooster is gewijd aan de aartsengel Michaël en heeft een charmante klokkentoren en een prachtige kerk uit de 12e eeuw. Het is een bekende plek van groot belang en trekt veel bezoekers en gelovigen die de Byzantijnse fresco's en de gegraveerde tempel vol gouden offergaven komen bekijken. Je zult de unieke ervaring hebben om dit klooster te bezoeken met een professionele gids. U stapt dan aan boord om terug te varen naar het eiland Rhodos. De reisduur is ca. 1u30 min. Zodra u aankomt in de haven van Rhodos, wordt u met de bus terug naar uw hotel gebracht.

We’ve traveled with Discoverd1 a bunch of times over the years and honestly they’re the best guided tour company we’ve found in Rhodes! Everyone’s super friendly, easy to talk to and they really care about making sure you’re comfy and having fun 🤩 Last time we stayed in Haraki and they even picked us up for free 🙌 which is amazing because Haraki isn’t the most popular spot and it’s kinda far too! That little detail just shows how much they go the extra mile Their prices are also super affordable so me and my husband got to book a few tours in one trip 😍 we did some cruises, the 6 hour Chalki tour with swimming (so relaxing 🐠💦) and our absolute fav was the Symi Island + Panormitis Monastery tour… breathtaking views and such a peaceful vibe 💫 Really grateful for the experience and definitely recommending Discoverd1 to anyone coming to Rhodes! Ferry from Rhodes to Symi. A return ticket to Rhodes port costs €25, while online it costs €34. Running time 1 h 20 min. First stop at Panormitis Monastery. I didn't really like it. Second stop, a few minutes in St. George's Bay, to take some pictures. Finally I arrive in Symi, a cute village, with its colorful houses that are reflected in the sea. Lovely landscape, with spectacular views from the sea. In symi there is also a train that leads to the panoramic point, cost ticket 8 €. Many souvenir shops, restaurants, beautiful beaches. Very nice day. Recommended!
The island of Symi is definitely worth a visit! Interesting construction of the houses and history to the island. Very friendly residents. Monastery of Archangel Michael in Panormitis is very interesting and worth a visit!

Symi is a beautiful place to visit. Loads of restuarants,shops and little side streets to explore. Lunch we had was excellent at Tamkin, right beside bridge at end of harbour. St.Michael archangel monastry is also a great place to visit,1 hr is plenty time to explore monastry and light a few candles. Only problem with trip was because we were picked up 20mins late we barely made boat for 9pm and could not get a seat anywhere, boat was crammed with people. We eventually got a seat at smokers area at back of boat,neither of us are smokers and the area itself was extremely warm with very little air,very uncomfortable. This was the only blip on a wonderful day
This island is very pretty. There is a long way to get there but it should be done without hesitation. The guide was fascinating.

Nice trip just be carful which boat you pick it took 2 hours to get over from Rhodes harbour and sane back. Such a pretty place to see and take in a bite not much else to do only admire the beautiful place. Not enough time to visit the monastery before we had we board again worth a 1 night stop over

the monastery was beautiful and worth going but the whole thing lasts 30 minutes maximum. Symi: it takes an hour and a half to get there and then 3 hours 3 half to pass was hard... take the train that goes around the islet but do not expect anything big.... but at least do something... nice shops, nice views but I would not do it again ... so just do the monastery maybe with some hydrofoil that goes directly or to the monastery or to symi, at the port of Rhodes there is a wide choice.

The ferry crossing takes about 1 h 35 min. Afterwards you will find yourself in a small paradise with lots of history, bright sunshine, wonderful views and delicious food. Those who like can also shop there or go to the hairdresser. Small group Informative Great excursion ☀️🍽️⛴️🏝️🏺🔱🌴🐈🐟👼 👨🌾💯🇬🇷🏛️
