De Hunter Valley Grains & Grapes Tour neemt je mee op een heerlijke wijn, kaas & sterke drank tour met lunch op slechts een paar uur ten noorden van Sydney! Wat deze tour de ultieme Hunter trip maakt, is dat je de mogelijkheid hebt om ook wat lokaal bier te proeven bij een paar stops OF je kunt de wijnen behouden & wat chocolade toevoegen! The Grains & Grapes heeft voor ieder wat wils! Naast alle mooie wijnen, lekkere bieren en handgemaakte producten, werkt Dave’s hard om je mee te nemen achter de schermen van de productiehuizen om de makers te ontmoeten en een echt gevoel van de regio te krijgen. We nemen altijd een rondleiding door een wijngaard, wijnmakerij of beide op onze tours. We proberen ook om alleen kleine familie gerunde wijnhuizen te bezoeken, zodat onze gasten ontmoeten en chatten met de lokale bevolking om echt te waarderen en te begrijpen wat er gaat in wat ze proeven. Omdat we kleine producenten bezoeken, zijn onze tourvoertuigen meestal tussen de 12 en 22 zitplaatsen (inclusief de chauffeur). De Dave’s houden van de Hunter Valley en we willen je het BESTE van de regio laten zien!

Bij onze eerste wijnmakerij neemt uw ‘Dave for the day’ u mee op een rondleiding door een wijngaard, wijnmakerij productiegebied of beide. Nadat je een beetje geleerd hebt is het tijd om een beetje te drinken met onze eerste wijnproeverij.
Lunch is vaak bij een wijnmakerij en de tweede stop, maar we gebruiken een aantal locaties. We vinden wel een gezamenlijke lunch of uitstekende houtgestookte pizza's, salades en een drankje brengt het gesprek op gang! Voor uw drankje kunt u kiezen voor bier, wijn of frisdrank. Lunch en het drankje zijn bij de tourprijs inbegrepen.
Na de lunch bezoeken we de kelderdeur van een lokale familiedistilleerderij voor een proeverij van gin, wodka en likeur. Het is een perfecte post-lunch perk up!
De tweede officiële wijnproeverij van de dag (de wijn die je drinkt tijdens de lunch tellen we niet mee als proeverij) wordt aangevuld met lokale kazen. Uw server zal u doorverwijzen naar welke wijn het beste bij welke kaas past.
De laatste stop, je hebt de keuze om te genieten van een wijn en chocolade pairing of u kunt proberen een peddel van lokaal gemaakte ambachtelijke bieren.

We had a fantastic experience with Dave’s Tours from start to finish. The customer service was excellent—Fiona was especially helpful when we were making our booking. Before confirming, we got in touch to ask about vegetarian options, as other tours we looked at only offered a salad (not quite enough for a full day of wine tasting!). Fiona let us know they could arrange vegetarian pizzas, which was great. We actually forgot to include this request when we booked through TripAdvisor rather than directly, but Fiona spotted this and proactively emailed to confirm she’d added our dietary requirements to the booking. On the day, our driver and host, Drew, was brilliant. He made sure everything ran smoothly, including checking that our lunch met our requests. The pizzas and side salads were really good, and Drew himself was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. His commentary during the journey added a lot to the experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable day out. The wine, cheese and chocolate sampling was fun. Our only small disappointment was at one of the venues, where we were expecting a flight of beers to sample. Due to supply issues, we were instead given a small glass of the same beer each, which was a bit underwhelming. That said, it didn’t take away too much from what was otherwise a great experience—we’d happily recommend Dave’s Tours!
Drew, our driver and tour guide, was exceptional! He told us about the area as we drove out to Hunter Valley. Each winery was excellent! We loved the custom service of the 4 TB winery’s. Lunch was delicious. We had plenty of wood fired pizza and salad. The trip was worth every penny! Highly Recommend!
Fantastic experience with our knowledgeable host Drew. We enjoyed the wineries and the pizza. Drew gave us expert commentary on the bus and got us all back safely. Well worth the trip.
We had a great time with this experience. Dave’s company was very professional and the experience of their historical Australia knowledge was apparent. The wineries and the experience was amazing, great wines, great food and the bonus cheese and wine was delicious!! I truly recommend this experience.
What a great time ! Drew was an amazing and informative guide. The tastings were so much fun and the wood fired pizza and salad lunch was great. A perfect day trip. Hunter Valley is absolutely beautiful.

Great day trip with Col (Dave for the day) visiting some beautiful wineries. Lunch was amazing and loved the distillery. Col was incredibly knowledgeable giving us lots interesting info on the history of the Hunter and wine making.

Had a wonderful time! Our guide (Chris) was great- talked just enough to give us an idea of the area and the history of Hunter Valley, but also gave us some nice quiet time to enjoy the sites and relax. Wine was delicious at all of the venues, very friendly staff at all locations. We visited several places for wine (and beer) and ended the day at a distillery. Distillery wasn’t our thing but if you like flavored vodkas or gin, then it’s the place for you. Van was comfortable for the trek to and from Hunter Valley. Overall enjoyed and would recommend. Was a lovely end to our trip to Australia.
