Onze surfschool in Famara is opgericht in 2010 en sinds 2014 worden we elk jaar bekroond met het Tripadvisor Certificaat van uitmuntendheid en de Travellers' Choice Award! Wij denken dat surfen de wereld een betere plek kan maken. Wil je weten hoe? - Kom en sluit je aan bij onze surffamilie, en je zult ontdekken waarom surfen een manier van leven is, en niet alleen een sport. Onze grootste vreugde is wanneer we vuur zien in de ogen van een pasgeboren surfer!

I had a great time at Famara beach. A big fat thank you to the world’s best surf instructor Gerry 🤙🏽 - he gave me so much input in just 3 days and took away my fear. I will come back 100% again! I'm already looking forward to it! Thanks also to the whole Red Star Surf Team, for these wonderful 3 days with you 🫶

The instructors were friendly and made me feel comfortable straight away. Their style and method of teaching made it straight forward to learn. They were very knowledgeable, experienced and emphasised safety all the way. I'm looking forward to going back!
As first timers, me and my son really enjoyed the lessons and surfing. It’s physically demanding but was good fun. Would have returned for another day of surfing if we didn’t get so tired. Would definitely recommend. They even show you your surfing video after the session ends which was good to see the progress one has made. But of a drive from Playa Blanca where we were staying but well worth it. The drive is nice and so is the beach. If you want to surf, then this is the beach to be.
Great time - learning in a relaxed environment. I took surfing lessons with Red Star on two separate days. I plan to go back again next year and do a full week with them.
Great surf instructors and super motivated teachers who are keen to teach you the right technique and not just "stand on the board". You'll definitely get something out of this in the long term! We were there last year in autumn and are still enthusiastic today. We're even thinking about coming back for a week next year! :)
Fantastic day. Staff were friendly and very knowledgable, always watching to point out how you can improve. As a solo traveller I was made to feel very comfortable and wish I had the money to do more lessons.
It was the best experience surfing for the first time! The waves were small this day but that didn’t matter. Especially Jerry was a good instructor, he really knows what he’s doing and can give you direct pointers on what to change. They also picked us up from our hotel, which was 30 minutes away. Great day! Thanks!
The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. First time surfing and certainly not a natural but Jerry was so patient and kept persevering with helping me to get up on the board. The location was amazing and after the lesson had finished we all went back to the surf shop so the instructors could show us a video they had taken of each person and give hints and tips on how to improve. Only wish I had a few more days here so could have given it another go. Would highly recommend for all ages, so much fun!
