I took a few private surf sessions with Danny at Surf & Stay Arugam Bay, and the whole experience was incredible from start to finish. Traveling alone, I felt super comfortable and welcomed straight away—the vibe at the place was relaxed, and the rooms are exceptionally clean. Communication via WhatsApp was effortless right from the start. Before hitting the beach, Danny took the time to go through the fundamentals and pop-up techniques at the hostel, which really helped build my confidence. Once we got into the water, his 1-on-1 coaching was very good. He knew exactly how to position me, and keeps an eye on incoming waves. After each session, he breaks down what went well and what to focus on next time. Thanks to his patience and structured approach, I went from a complete beginner to standing up on my own and catching several small waves by the end of the lessons! If you're looking for a great instructor who genuinely cares about your progress, Danny is the definitely your guy. He got me into surfing!

Dany is an excellent instructor, takes care of you from the first moment, by every step, he teaches u the basic technique for surfing on the ground and then in the water, fix’s your mistakes on time in the water I recommend him as a unique pro instructor

We had very patient and very experienced surf instructors, it was a great time!

It was our second time surfing, and we had so much fun being able to be on the board so many times! The instructor taught me very carefully, so even beginners could enjoy it with peace of mind. At the end, I lost my strength and couldn't get out to the ocean, so it was over. It was fun to surf to the limit!! I would love to participate again. Thank you very much.
