Begin uw dag met een heteluchtballonsafari bij zonsopgang over de prachtige Magalies River Valley, ten westen van de Hartbeespoort Dam. Bill Harrop’s “Original” Balloon Safaris, actief sinds 1981, combineert 45 jaar ervaring in het opblazen van ballonnen met warme Zuid-Afrikaanse gastvrijheid vanaf de privé lanceerbasis bij Skeerpoort. Geniet van warme dranken en koekjes terwijl de ballonnen worden bereid, gevolgd door een ongeveer een uur durende gedeelde ballonvlucht. Na de landing kunt u feestvieren met mousserende wijn en sinaasappelsap voordat u terugkeert naar het Clubhouse Pavilion and Restaurant voor een ontbijtbuffet. De gehele ervaring duurt ongeveer 3-4 uur. Omdat elke vlucht wordt bepaald door de wind en weersomstandigheden op de dag, zijn geen twee ballonsafari's ooit helemaal hetzelfde.

Kom voor zonsopgang aan op onze privélanceerplaats voor inchecken en warme dranken voor de vlucht terwijl de ballonnen worden voorbereid. Na de veiligheidsbriefing geniet u van een ongeveer een uur durende gedeelde heteluchtballonvlucht over de Magalies River Valley. - Houd rekening met ongeveer 3-4 uur voor de complete ervaring, inclusief inchecken, ballonvoorbereiding, de vlucht van ongeveer een uur, de viering na de vlucht, de transfer naar het Clubhouse Pavilion and Restaurant en ontbijt.
- Alle vluchten zijn weersafhankelijk. De uiteindelijke beslissing om te vliegen wordt genomen door de piloot op basis van de omstandigheden op de dag.
- Uw bevestigde inchecktijd zal worden verstrekt met uw boekingsbevestiging. Tijdig aankomen is essentieel, omdat ballon vluchten niet vertraagd kunnen worden voor late passagiers.
- Passagiers moeten fysiek fit genoeg zijn om zonder hulp in en uit de ballonmand te klimmen, die ongeveer 1.350 mm hoog is. Passagiers moeten ook ongeveer 60 cm kunnen springen vanuit een zittende positie zonder hulp en ongeveer een uur blijven staan.

- Gelieve ons te informeren over eventuele dieetwensen voor de vlucht. Vegetarische opties en alcoholvrije mousserende wijn zijn beschikbaar. Halaal en Kosher catering kan niet worden verzorgd.

- De vlucht vindt plaats over de Magalies River Valley en is exclusief game viewing.

This was our first hot air balloon experience and it was fantastic. The crew at Bill Harrop’s look after you so well. When we arrived at 4.45am they were already set up with tea, coffee and homemade muffins. We sat on the porch and watched while the balloon was being set up. We boarded and set off (after safety instruction) ever so gently and cruised peacefully over the valley while the sun tried to peak out behind the clouds on the horizon. It was a thoroughly enjoyable ride and even the landing was just a couple of minor bumps thanks to the very experienced pilot Flip Steyn. Flip was great and filled us in on the history and local landmarks. Once we returned to the club house there was a magnificent breakfast waiting for us , the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the facilities are great, making this altogether a very memorable experience.

Wow! What an experience, from arriving early enough to see the balloon being inflated to take off and the flight across Skeerpoort. Not what I expected at all. A gentle glide across the sky, it was remarkable. Pilot - Flip Steyn was great, he gave us interesting facts about the history of ballooning, mixed with a great sense of humour. The venue is beautiful and the breakfast was brilliant. Definitely something to put on your buck list.
