Het is geen wonder dat de Suikerbroodberg een van de meest populaire toeristische attracties in de stad Rio de Janeiro is. Zeer goed gelegen, in de buurt van Urca, is de reeks heuvels Pão de Açúcar en Morro da Urca een van de mooiste natuurlijke landschappen met een uitgestrekte tropische flora en fauna. De opwinding van de wandeling naar de Suikerbroodberg begint ruim voordat je de top van de heuvel bereikt, 396 meter boven de zeespiegel. Het avontuur begint met de reis per kabelbaan, een glazen kabelbaan die unieke details en hoeken van de perfecte Rio de Janeiro-geografie presenteert. De eerste stop is bij Morro da Urca, op 220 meter hoogte. Vanaf daar kun je de baai van Guanabara en Botafogo zien. In de tweede en laatste stop presenteert het panoramische uitzicht, naast de baai, een groot deel van de rand van de zuidelijke zone en Niterói. Our guide did a pretty good job overall. The pick up was according to the plan even through I was the first to be picked up and stayed on the car for one hour or so. Once everyone was picked up, we started our tour.
