Hallo, ik ben een fotograaf gevestigd in Tokio en ik heb een diepe passie voor het vastleggen van de unieke charme van de stad door de ogen van bezoekers. Ik begon deze reis omdat, terwijl veel toeristen naar Tokio komen, ik merkte dat de meeste fotoservices slechts een eenvoudig verslag van hun reizen bieden. Ik wilde iets anders doen dat echt de hartslag van de stad weerspiegelt. Tokio verandert voortdurend en ik geloof dat het onze taak als fotografen is om die verschuivingen vast te leggen, van de nieuwste culturele trends tot de evoluerende straatstijlen. Wat mij het meest opwindt is het herontdekken van Tokyo door jouw ogen. Elke keer als ik door de stad loop, of het nu een bekende plek is als Asakusa, Shinjuku, Roppongi of Shibuya, word ik eraan herinnerd hoe mooi en dynamisch het is, vooral ’s nachts. De stad transformeert volledig in het donker. Ik kijk ernaar uit om foto’s met je te maken die niet alleen je tijd in Tokio documenteren, maar ook echt de geest van deze ongelooflijke stad weerspiegelen. Laten we herinneringen maken die je voor altijd zult koesteren.

Je foto wordt genomen met de Kaminarimon Gate, de grote lantaarn bij de ingang van Sensoji Temple, op de achtergrond. Dit is een bijzondere plek die je het gevoel geeft dat je Asakusa echt hebt bezocht.
Nakamise-dori Shopping Street is de oudste winkelstraat van Japan, gelegen tussen Kaminarimon en Sensoji Tempel. U kunt genieten van het nemen van foto's tijdens het eten van snoep en het kopen van souvenirs.
Als we bij Sensoji Temple aankomen, zullen we eerst foto's maken voor de Hozomon Gate. Daarna maken we foto’s voor de vijf verdiepingen tellende pagode en de grote zaal. Als je wilt, kan ik je een lezing geven over de etiquette van waarzeggerij en boeddhistisch gebed. U kunt ook een bezoek brengen aan het Asakusa-heiligdom, dat naast de Sensoji-tempel ligt.
Asakusa Shrine, gelegen direct naast Sensoji Temple, is een plek waar je de aanwezigheid van Shinto, een andere belangrijke religie in Japan, kunt voelen. We maken foto's voor de torii poort en binnen het heiligdom terrein.

This is a very good experience with some great pictures that we are able to cherish forever. Yu was our photographer and he knew all the good spots in and around the main Asakusa Shrine area. Yu was very engaging and has a good eye for the types of photos we were looking for during the shoot. Our session was at night, so it gave an even better and different experience then we have done in the past. There were just under 200 photos taken for the shoot. It was pretty difficult choosing, but we finally settled on the top 50 photos. Yu touched up the photos (not that they needed a lot of touch up!) and they turned out great! Yu also gave us the opportunity to pick a spot/area different from Asakusa, but we all felt that it made sense to go a spot that he was comfortable with, as we were the tourists and he is the expert! If you are comfortable with another spot in and around Tokyo, I am sure you will not be disappointed either way! Thank Yu for such a great time and a great product! The whole family is very happy with all the photos!

We had such a wonderful time with Takada-san! He made everything so easy since he speaks English well, and he took us to some amazing spots we wouldn’t have found on our own. Beyond that, he was so friendly and really made us feel like we were seeing Tokyo through the eyes of a local. His knowledge of the city and its hidden gems made the experience even more special.
