Een perfecte introductie tot Schotland tijdens deze tour met kleine groepen - geschiedenis, legende en adembenemende landschappen allemaal in één. Deze reis voert je van opvallende moderne kunst naar oude slagvelden. We beginnen met The Kelpies, 's werelds grootste paardensculpturen en een eerbetoon aan het industriële verleden van Schotland. Daarna gaan we naar Loch Lomond, het grootste meer van Groot-Brittannië, waarvan de schoonheid dichters en schilders al eeuwenlang inspireert. Van daaruit wagen we ons in The Loch Lomond Trossachs National Park, een land van torenhoge pieken en glinsterend water, voordat we teruggaan in de tijd in Stirling Castle, waar koningen hun lot ontmoetten, opstanden wortel schoten en het verhaal van Schotland werd gevormd. Een klein beetje van alles, alles in één onvergetelijke dag.

Na het verlaten van Edinburgh krijgt u de kans om de prachtige Kelpies te bezoeken en te bewonderen, 's werelds grootste paardensculpturen gewijd aan het door paarden aangedreven erfgoed van Centraal Schotland, ontworpen door Andy Scott.
We rijden westwaarts door de centrale gordel van Schotland naar de 'Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond', waar we de tijd nemen in Balmaha om het uitzicht op Ben Lomond te bewonderen. Hier heeft u de mogelijkheid om een boswandeling te maken die u een spectaculair uitzicht op het meer biedt. Als je op de oever staat, begrijp je waarom Loch Lomond is vereeuwigd in een wereldberoemd lied.
Grijp de kans om het indrukwekkende Stirling Castle te ontdekken, een van de belangrijkste bouwwerken van Schotland, zowel historisch als architectonisch. Veel leden van het koningshuis zijn gekroond in Stirling Castle, waaronder Mary Queen of Scots, en het speelde een centrale rol in de strijd van William Wallace in de Onafhankelijkheidsoorlogen. - De minimumleeftijd om te reizen is 5 jaar, terwijl iedereen van 5 - 17 jaar vergezeld moet worden door een volwassene.
- Het is aan te raden om vervoer naar het vertrekpunt vooraf te boeken. Houd ook rekening met extra tijd om bij het vertrekpunt te komen voor het inchecken. Zorg ervoor dat je minstens 15 minuten voor vertrek van de tour aanwezig bent, zodat je kunt inchecken voor de tour. Helaas zijn we niet in staat om de bus te houden of terugbetaling voor eventuele late aankomsten.
- Terugkeertijden zijn bij benadering en afhankelijk van de wegomstandigheden en het weer. Zorg ervoor dat u voldoende tijd reserveert voor eventuele verdere reisplannen, waarbij u ten minste 3 uur na de geplande terugkomsttijd inplant voor aansluitingen of activiteiten.
- Opvouwbare rolstoelen met verwijderbare wielen zijn toegestaan, op voorwaarde dat de passagier wordt begeleid door iemand die hem/haar kan helpen bij het in- en uitstappen.
- Deze tour kan worden uitgevoerd in samenwerking met ons zusterbedrijf, Highland Explorer Tours.
- Vanwege de beschikbaarheid van voertuigen kunnen er gevallen zijn waarin deze tour met een grotere bus rijdt.
- Houd er rekening mee dat de routevolgorde kan wijzigen.
- Een reisverzekering wordt aanbevolen.

A very nice trip with commentary from Ali. Lovely scenery and Stirling Castle is well worth the visit.
We enjoyed our tour and our guide Sophie was absolutely outstanding. It was a very nice experience and one that I would highly recommend.
Stirling Castle was definitely worth seeing; the rest, not especially. The tour guide was a former part-time actor and spent a lot of time talking about that (and his other personal experiences). He was an entertaining speaker but better on picturesque language - evidently pre-scripted and largely drawn from tourism websites - than facts. For some reason he told us the Kelpies represent Clydesdale horses and said nothing about their true meaning - making it even harder to understand why a modern outdoor sculpture is part of the tour at all. (Without the legend, which wasn't mentioned, it was nothing but a stop at a large souvenir shop.) Also, to start the tour we had to stand on line outside the tour office in a cold drizzle until almost time to to leave; we were not allowed inside except to pay our additional fee for admission to the castle.
Steve took us on an adventure that started at the Kelpies, continued to a breathtaking walk along the shores of Loch Lommond and went on to the iconic Stirling castle. From beginning to end, Steve infused Scottish history, music, culture and details into our day. He was funny, charismatic and had immense knowledge to share. We even did a sing along to the proclaimers “I’m gonna be (500 miles)” on our journey home. 10/10 recommend going on this tour with Steve!!!

Absolutely amazing! Book it! The view were amazing. Our guide was friendly and informative. Played great music in between talking while we drove. He was very interactive. Love it.

Torva was a great guide for my kelpies, loch lomand and Stirling tour. He was friendly and told stories on the bus with humour and enthusiasm! The Scottish music played during the tour was a lovely touch! The locations on the tour were brilliant- a great way to tick off some sights in a day. I’d use Haggis Adventures again!

A great tour with a great and knowledgeable tour guide! He gave us so much interesting information about Scotland. I appreciate hearing the stories as we were driving. And the soundtrack of Scottish music playing while driving was awesome; a wonderful variety of familiar and unfamiliar tunes. The stops were well timed - interesting and allowed for bathroom breaks. The walk (little hike) at Loch Lomond allowed for a bit of an outdoor activity; it was beautiful! And Stirling castle was amazing. Three hours there was perfect! It was a great day!
