Ga met ons mee voor een unieke privé & begeleide halve dag fietstocht van 15 - 25km met een elektrische fiets die u meeneemt op avontuur door het pittoreske Banhoekdal, Stellenbosch in het hart van de Wijnlanden. Het biedt de meest adembenemende uitzichten over de vallei terwijl je op de fiets zit. Onderweg stoppen we om wijn te proeven bij twee familiebedrijven en award winnende kleine boutique wijnhuizen. U krijgt een gespecialiseerde wijn Gids die u zal vertellen door de wijngeschiedenis, seizoenen van de wijngaarden en de prachtige vallei waar u zich in bevindt. Een episch avontuur op de fiets om een van de wijnvalleien van Stellenbosch te zien. Ons nieuwe uitgangspunt stelt ons in staat meer fietsafstand te verkennen door wijngaarden, wijnhuizen.
Dit is het officiële startpunt van de tour Banhoek Lodge, Helshoogte Road (R310), Stellenbosch. Ook kunt u hier veilig uw auto parkeren. Kom alsjeblieft 15 minuten voordat de tour begint aan, zodat we je de juiste maat fiets en helm kunnen geven en ook het protocol kunnen volgen. De tour begint met een briefing van de tour met je wijngids voor de dag. Dit punt is tevens het eindpunt van de tour. De fietstocht gaat door particuliere wijnmakerijen en wijngaarden en weg van het verkeer en de hoofdwegen.
Onze erkende wijngids begeleidt je op een epische fietstocht in de buitenlucht in een prachtige vallei. Hij zal het hebben over de wijngeschiedenis van de vallei en de wijnmakerij, de seizoenen van de wijnstok en de wijnen. Zorgvliet is de eerste stop voor wijnproeverijen op onze route. Hier fietsen en hier doorbrengen samen berekend.
Terwijl we door wijngaarden en privéwegen fietsen, weg van de hoofdwegen en het verkeer, zullen we een kleine boetiekwijnmakerij genaamd Thelema ontdekken en bezoeken voor onze tweede wijnproeverij van de dag. De hele fietstocht worden we omringd door bergen en wijngaarden. Hier fietsen en hier doorbrengen samen berekend

Our guide Abie led us on a wonderful e-bike tour of Stellenbosch and some local vineyards. Abie was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the region. He enriched the experience. The wine tastings and lunch were great but they each seemed to be secondary to the beautiful panoramic scenery of the region. It was beautiful and made for a great experience.
We made a nice bike ride with our guide Tim, who told a lot about the area. We deviated a bit with our wishes from the program, but Tim handled it well. It was a nice trip between the vines on e-bikes.
Very friendly guide who knows a lot about wine and about the history of the country Beautiful surroundings. Good bikes. But you only cycle a little bit. Bit short for the money you're paying.

On a Private Tour we are generally very flexible and would customize the tour on the go. The distance of the tour is part of the tour description when you make a booking. The idea is to have a very relaxed and easy short ride between wineries to enjoy wine tastings and take in the beauty of the valley on a e-bike. We had a fantastic morning with Colin from Wineland Guides. He gave us a very thorough briefing so we felt safe on the e-bikes. Colin was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine industry and local area, and stopped at the most scenic spots so we could take photos and hear more about the history of Stellenbosch. We stopped at Thelema and Rainbows End for some fantastic local wines. Also travelling via bikes through vineyards gives you the most phenomenal views that you miss when travelling via car!

As per our main description of the tour, it tells you exactly distance, how many wineries you are visiting and that you'll be tasting wine at two wineries. The tour itinerary has a optional third winery should you wish to stop for lunch, and this can be easily communicated to the guide on the day as the tour is very flexible and customizable within the time frame of the tour. We had a great day with Tim and Prince. They modified the standard tour of three wine tastings because we wanted to do a bit more cycling through the lovely scenery. Of the two vineyards Thelema was by far our favourite and we bought quite a bit of wine to bring back to our villa. All in all highly recommended
