Putrajaya als administratieve hoofdstad van Maleisië, Putrajaya heeft zichzelf gepositioneerd als een toeristische bestemming met zijn fascinerende architectuur en pittoreske landschappen. Putrajaya is een stad in Maleisië, ten zuiden van Kuala Lumpur. Het staat bekend om zijn late 20e-eeuwse architectuur, waaronder de Putra-moskee, gemaakt van roze graniet met een roze koepel. Vlakbij ligt de immense, groene koepel Perdana Putra, die het kantorencomplex van de premier bevat. De 3-traps Putra-brug is geïnspireerd op de Iraanse architectuur, met 4 minaret-type pijlers met uitzicht op het kunstmatige Putrajaya-meer.

De eerste stop is een van de zeven bruggen in Putrajaya, de meest elegante. De kabelbrug van 240 m heeft een futuristisch ontwerp dat de vorm van een zeilschip ontleent. De Seri Wawasan-brug is zichtbaar vanaf vele uitkijkpunten van de stad.
Het Putrajaya-meer is een meer in het centrum van Putrajaya, Maleisië. Dit kunstmatige meer van 650 hectare is ontworpen om te fungeren als een natuurlijk koelsysteem voor de stad en ook voor recreatie, vissen, watersporten en watertransport.
Rose getint graniet geeft de Putra-moskee zijn iconische roze tint, een elegantie die net zo opmerkelijk reflecteert aan de binnenkant als aan de buitenkant. De moskee is in 1997 aan het meer gebouwd en biedt plaats aan maximaal 15.000 aanbidders. Bezoekers kwamen langs voor foto's met dit verfijnde monument, dat inspiratie putte uit Maleisische en Midden-Oosterse invloeden.
Dit imposante gebouw staat bovenop de hoofdheuvel in Putrajaya en trekt de aandacht met zijn paleisachtige groene koepel en stenen muren. Het kantoorcomplex is een mix van islamitische en moderne architectuur, waar ministers en hogere ambtenaren werken. Het is niet open voor bezoekers, maar je kunt de grandeur nog steeds bewonderen vanaf de buitenkant.
Een van de beste manieren om de bezienswaardigheden van de stad te bekijken, is door een dag- of avondrondvaartcruise van 45 minuten te maken op een comfortabele 76-persoons cruiseboot met airconditioning. Gondelachtige boottochten zijn ook beschikbaar.
Seri Perdana is de officiële residentie van de premier van Maleisië, gelegen in Putrajaya, Maleisië.
De ijzeren moskee (of Tunku Mizan Zainal Abidin-moskee) is een ander architectonisch wonder dat het bekijken waard is. De constructie, voornamelijk van staal, is geïnspireerd op Chinese en Duitse ontwerpen. In tegenstelling tot andere moskeeën in Maleisië is er geen minaret die wordt gebruikt om te bidden. Van veraf lijkt het alsof het van metaal of glas is gemaakt.
Ontworpen in 2005 om het nieuwe millennium in te luiden, dit is het eerste monument dat in Putrajaya is gebouwd. Het wandelpad dat rond het monument draait, illustreert de geschiedenis van Maleisië, de panelen beschrijven belangrijke gebeurtenissen in het land. Er is een tijdcapsule aan de voet van het monument die in 2020 wordt geopend. Terwijl je omhoog gaat langs de hellingen van het Millennium Monument, zie je een prachtig uitzicht op de waterkant.
Istana Melawati is het tweede nationale paleis van Yang di-Pertuan Agong in Maleisië in Putrajaya na de Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur. Het dient als een koninklijk toevluchtsoord voor de Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Het Marokkaanse paviljoen verdient vijf sterren voor Instaworthiness, als een dergelijke rating bestaat. Gebouwd om de diplomatieke banden tussen de twee regeringen te symboliseren, de verbluffende architectuur en het delicate vakmanschap lijken op de dorpen en keizerlijke steden van Marokko.

Overall, this tour was a bit disappointing. The main reason we booked the Putrajaya City Tour was to visit and go inside the Pink mosque, however we were not informed at the time of booking that on Fridays it is closed to visitors until after 3pm due to prayers. As a result, we were unable to enter the mosque , which was frustrating as this was the highlight of the tour for us. If this was communicated to us we could have chosen another time to visit. The rest of the tour was fairly average. It was nice to see parts of the city and surrounding areas, but it didn’t make up for missing the main experience we had booked for. That said, the guide was friendly and informative, and did their best to provide information throughout the tour.
The driver was lovely but this "tour" is just a way for the company to scam tourists. Calling it a tour in the title is a lie, it is essentially an overpriced taxi which you could organise your self for a fraction of the cost. Do not do this. Also made very uncomfortable by the driver having to take compulsory photos of me at different places to send his boss. Not female solo traveller friendly.

Great experience to have. The driver was on time, the vehicle was very clean, with air conditioning. The driver was very clear and very explicit. The experience was rewarding, we enjoyed it very much. The only thing I think about improving would be to increase the visit time to the sites "putra mosque" and "perdona putra", because the walking time to reach these sites is already long enough from the parking lot.

Driver was 30 mins late, could barely understand each other. Said he was just a driver and didnt even tell us where he was taking us, we had to Google it once we could understand what he was saying. Basically what youre paying is a ride to some of the places listed on the tour and you have to figure out the rest. Then took us to the botanic garden which wasn't even listed in the stops of the tour and said to just go walk around. Paid for a car for 4 people and we were squeezed in the back seat. It was just a bad experience overall. The architecture we did see was beautiful.
Had very good experience with driver Raj from the tour company assigned by Viator. Very helpful with the photo shooting and knowledgeable. Only issue was that the itinerary given to Raj by his tour company differed to that sold by Viator, ie 15 min stop at one mosque (masjid Tuanku Mizan) and the visit to the Moroccan was not on the list provided to Raj. There seems to be a problem with communication between Viator and the contracted tour company.

The Guide did not show up, and only bothered to let us know 15min after the tour was supposed to start. They used the fact that we changed the time of the tour 24 hours before the start as an excuse. Very poor excuse since rescheduling was confirmed. Extremely unprofessional to say the least.
It wasn't to my complete liking, a driver took me to the city, I don't know if I was a guide, he left me 2 hours to meet and just told me that was the mosque and the jabatan perdana, that I could go down and up in one of the boats that run the canal Then he took me to the steel mosque and there fortunately a volunteer guide helped me a lot with the history of the place
