De prachtige Batu-grotten zijn een van de belangrijkste toeristische attracties in Maleisië. deze 100 jaar oude tempel heeft idolen en beelden die in de belangrijkste grotten en eromheen zijn gebouwd. De tempel is voorzien van kalksteenformaties aan de binnenkant die naar verluidt ongeveer 400 miljoen jaar oud zijn en wordt door hindoes als een belangrijk religieus monument beschouwd.
Tijdens uw bezoek aan de Petronas Twin Towers kunt u naar het observatiedek gaan, dat ongeveer 170 meter boven de grond ligt, en onvergetelijke foto's maken terwijl u vanaf de Skybridge het stadsbeeld bewondert.
Ga naar Chinatown, waar u door de straten en winkelstraatjes kunt slenteren, vol eetkraampjes waar een breed scala aan levensmiddelen en lokale goederen wordt verkocht. Zodra u de kunst van het onderhandelen over koopjes onder de knie heeft.
Zie het prachtige Merdeka-plein, een symbool van de Maleisische onafhankelijkheid en een van de meest pittoreske pleinen ter wereld. Bewonder architecturale meesterwerken uit het moderne en koloniale tijdperk. Aan de zuidkant van het plein staat een vlaggenmast van 95 meter, een van de hoogste ter wereld
Centrale Markt (Pasar Seni), een andere overdekte bazaar niet ver van Chinatown. De ruime markt biedt een verscheidenheid aan gerechten en onderscheidende souvenirs, samen met traditionele Maleisische goederen.
Bezoek de Lake Gardens en geniet van een moment weg van de drukte van de stad.
Bekijk vervolgens de prachtige Nationale Moskee van Maleisië (Masjid Negara), gelegen in 13 hectare aan prachtige tuinen. Bewonder de gedurfde aanpak van de architecten die het eind jaren vijftig ontwierpen als symbool van de ambities van de nieuwe onafhankelijke natie.
Het Nationaal Monument is een beeldhouwwerk dat degenen herdenkt die zijn omgekomen in de strijd voor vrijheid van Maleisië, voornamelijk tegen de Japanse bezetting tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en de Maleise noodsituatie, die duurde van 1948 tot 1960.
Het Maleisische equivalent van Buckingham Palace, Royal King's Palace (Istana Negara), trekt duizenden bezoekers met zijn gouden koepels en islamitische architectuur. Hoewel je het paleis niet kunt verkennen, kun je wel meer te weten komen over de Maleisische monarchie.
Rijd naar de Thean Hou-tempel, een pagodetempel met zes niveaus bovenop Robson Heights. Het werd voltooid in 1987 en officieel geopend in 1989, werd gebouwd door de Hainanese gemeenschap van Kuala Lumpur en is opgedragen aan de godin Tian Hou (de hemelse moeder).

Very disappointed with guide. Read a lot of of good review on other guides however not lucky with ours. Quiet person and difficult to get any information.

Vicky was my guide/driver. He is very knowledgeable and answered my many questions regarding the culture, religions, and social systems of Malaysia. It was an incredible day. From the Batu Caves to visiting and touring the most important sites in town. The twin towers were also really interesting and great. I enjoyed every moment of this tour. I highly recommend this tour as a must for the person who’s coming for the first time to the city.

We did a main sights tour of Kuala Lumpur with Maran and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He was very informative and knowledgeable, and did a great job gauging traffic so we arrived at the Petronas Towers on time without ever feeling rushed. He found a fantastic spot for lunch with proper, typical Malaysian cuisine, and was very attentive throughout the day. He was also happy to adjust the itinerary to suit our pace and interests, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal.

We had a fantastic full day tour with Nantha. He picked us up at the Port Klang Cruise terminal when our ship arrived. He had waters ready for us in the car and was very flexible with our itinerary. He made some suggestions and was willing to modify them based on our preferences. He had a great suggestion to go to the top of the KL tower in the morning and see the sights of KL, and then hit the Batu Caves on the way back when all the cruise buses had already completed the Batu caves in the morning and were spending time in Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon. This worked out great as the Batu caves were not very crowded when we went in the afternoon. We got to see all the sites, including the Central market Chinatown, the KL Tower, and the River of Life and Nantha gave us a wealth of information and history along the way. In addition, Nantha knew the perfect spot to take a family picture in front of the Petronas Towers! He was incredibly knowledgeable and his English was outstanding!!! Thank you for a great tour and a wonderful first visit to KL. We will surely be back!

Not really the experience I was expecting from the tour’s description on Viator. The “tour guide,” though courteous, was really just a private driver who dropped me off at each stop and told how long I had to look around. Gave no informational guide unless I asked. He actually never left the car at all. I asked if we could stop for lunch somewhere and he said no. The 8 hr tour took 5 hours. Felt a bit rushed. A big disappointing, to say the least. Not to mention he asked me to complete a review before getting out of the car during hotel drop off on the hotel’s front drive. A bit uncomfortable.

Nantha, our wonderful driver and tour guide picked us up from Port Klang Cruise Terminal and safely got us back to our ship on time. We appreciated his knowledge about Malaysia and its cultural diversity. Nantha made us feel at ease before climbing up the many stairs walking past the macaque monkeys at the Batu Caves. We saw the River of Life. Nantha suggested Malay food that we ate at the Central Market and went shopping. Took photos at the Thean Hou Chinese Temple with the Chinese Zodiac Sign figures and up to the 86th floor of the Petronas Twin Towers. Nantha went out of his way buying Acar (mixed pickles), pandan flavouring, and Ros Sirup and took us to a Batik Material Shop, my interests. Special memories of my Malaysian Chinese parents.
