Onze Culinaire Foodie Tour neemt je mee op een smakelijke ontdekkingsreis St Martin's food scene. Er is geen betere plek om een Food Tour te doen dan op ons prachtige multiculturele tweelandeneiland St. Martin, ook wel bekend als de culinaire hoofdstad van het Caribisch gebied. We zijn een smeltkroes van meer dan 100 verschillende nationaliteiten, met een even interessante keuken. Het eiland heeft meer dan 200 eetgelegenheden, van lokaal straattarief tot high-end dineren. Verwacht tijdens onze exclusieve Food Tour of St Martin stevige Caribische comfortfood, lokaal gemaakte rum, Franse haute cuisine, iets zoets en Nederlandse kaas. Sint Maarten is een paradijs voor zowel fijnproevers als fijnproevers! De Culinary Foodie Tour is een geweldige en heerlijke gelegenheid om de bezienswaardigheden van het eiland te zien, alles te horen over haar eetcultuur en 4 locaties en restaurants te bezoeken om de hoogtepunten van Creools, Frans en Nederlands eten en drinken te proeven.

Verblijft u in Oyster Pond of Philipsburg? Ophalen is inbegrepen als u kiest voor ophalen bij uw hotel, verblijfsadres, woonadres of bedrijf in en gebieden tussen Philipsburg en Oyster Pond (bijvoorbeeld Divi, Belair, Oyster Bay, Holland House, Vicky's Keys, Alicia's Inn, Dawn Strand) We ontmoeten u op uw locatie om 9.00 uur LOKALE TIJD, er worden geen ophaalkosten in rekening gebracht. Verblijft u ergens anders op Sint Maarten of Sint Maarten? Voor gasten die kiezen voor een ophaalservice bij andere hotels, accommodatieadressen, verblijfsadressen of bedrijven, waaronder cruiseschipgasten, zijn er 2 opties: 1. Afhankelijk van de locatie kunnen wij u tegen een meerprijs per persoon ophalen. Neem contact op met uw activiteitenbalie of neem contact met ons op om te zien of uw locatie als betaalde ophaallocatie vermeld staat. 2. We halen u om 9.00 uur LOKALE TIJD op van de parkeerplaats van Chesterfield’s Restaurant, Dock Maarten, in Philipsburg (zie locatie op kaart hieronder). Parkeren is mogelijk voor het eerste uur voor USD 2,00, en voor elk extra uur USD 1,00. Er worden geen ophaalkosten in rekening gebracht. Op ons eiland zijn nog geen Uber- of soortgelijke diensten gestart, dus u zult er met een taxi of huurauto moeten komen. WANDELROUTE-AANWIJZINGEN naar VERGADERINGSPUNT voor CRUISESCHIPGASTEN vanaf de cruiseschipterminal (het duurt 10 minuten als u in een normaal tempo loopt):: Verlaat de cruiseschipterminal via de hoofduitgang, ga de openbare weg op en sla linksaf de weg naar Philipsburg in. Na vijf minuten rechtdoor lopen zie je aan je linkerkant Johnny's Scooter Rental, een kleine hut met een groot smileybord erop. Ga naar de parkeerplaats achter Johnny's Scooterverhuur. We staan op die parkeerplaats in een zilveren busje. Als u liever niet loopt, kunt u een van de vele taxi's bij de cruiseschipterminal vragen om u voor een paar dollar af te zetten bij Chesterfield's Restaurant. Houd er rekening mee dat ze misschien wachten tot hun auto/busje vol is voordat ze vertrekken.

Fantastic tour! Tour guide was knowledgeable and warm and friendly!! Highly recommend! Food was delicious!
Our driver was kind, punctual, and the homemade banana bread and lemongrass tea he brought were a genuine highlight. Credit where it’s due. We came hoping a culinary tour would be a window into the island’s culture and food history — and while that wasn’t explicitly promised, we’ve had that experience on food tours elsewhere and it set our expectations. What we got instead felt more like a series of vendor stops. The cheese shop was essentially a sales pitch for Dutch cheese. The Johnny cake stop was fine but brief, with no context about its cultural significance. The Guavaberry distillery was the biggest letdown — the owner arrived late, and when he discovered we don’t drink and weren’t buying, he largely disengaged. The listing promises a guide who shows you the best spots — what we got was a friendly driver. If you’re just looking to sample foods and aren’t hoping for any deeper connection to the island, you may enjoy it more than we did.

This was different from the usual food tour. We had breakfast and lunch, a cheese tasting and a guavaberry liquor tasting. Breakfast was at a little ‘restaurant’ in Simpson Bay and it was the best breakfast sandwich I ever had, mainly because of the freshly baked johnny cake and bush tea. I learned things about cheese that I did not know, even though I’ve been eating gouda cheese for years. Lunch was on the French side at a wonderful road side restaurant, where we were able to order from the menu. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our lunch selections. The guavaberry stop included information about how it is made, as well as a tasting. Our guide, Ellie, also gave us a great island tour. She’s lived here for years and is very knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun getting to know her. I’d do this trip again … and next time I am here, I’m going back to get one of those johnny cakes.
We had a fantastic experience on our Culinary Food Tour. The size of the group was really perfect. Our guide, Nascha, was lovely and friendly, and she was so knowledgeable about the history of the island, so the tour was always interesting, even during long periods in the van. The food experiences were nicely varied, and we really got the sense that she took us to "off-the-beaten-path" places that locals would love and most tourists would never get to experience. And on an additional note, my friend and I accidentally left something in the van, and Nascha drove a very long way to our hotel to deliver it back to us - this was above and beyond the call of duty and very much appreciated!
Loved this tour on Jan 21, and our guide was excellent (but can't recall her name 😔) Cheese stop was great, everyone ended up buying some! Enjoyed the johnnycakes and fresh juice at next stop (we could choose from several options, which was nice). Lunch was excellent, and again, we chose from a menu). Highly recommend this tour!
This was great. Nice tour of the island with some very interesting stops and fun facts. A good history lesson of the small bites and drinks we tried. Authentic and original foods and beverages included in the tour. Our tour guide was very friendly and fun!
We just had the best day on our food tour and the hostess..ELLIE!! She was very knowledgeable and took us some fantastic places. If you have a chance to book this excursion, you should do it - worth every penny!
We had a lovely cheese and wine tasting with a chance to shop. Next stop was to taste a traditional journey cake from the Dutch side of the island. Rum tasting at Columbier was enjoyable with good variety of rums. Finishing with a lovely French lunch with a nice selection of food choices. Werner our guide shared lots of insights as we traveled to each location. It was an enjoyable outing and well run. Worth the money.
Me and my wife just had the most amazing time on this tour. The difference with this tour is you will be taken to places that you will not visit on other tours. We have been here a week and have been all over the island but on this tour we were taken to places that we never knew were there and that were not on the travel brochures. The other amazing part was the tour guide was so knowledgeable about the history of the island. We learned so much. This tour was well worth the money and I would encourage all my friends and family to go.
This tour was special! The places chosen were all excellent, and there was food from both the Dutch and the French side. Werner, our guide and the owner of the tour company, was absolutely wonderful! 😊
