Vlieg, wandel en zweef door het adembenemende regenwoud van St. Lucia tijdens dit ultieme eco-avontuur. Begin met een korte trainingssessie en proefzipline in het basiskamp voordat je aan boord gaat van de luchttram. Terwijl de gondel bestijgt, geniet u van een prachtig uitzicht op oude bomen, weelderige wijnstokken en kleurrijke vogels. Op de top kunt u genieten van een begeleide wandeling langs bospaden, kronkelend langs torenhoge bomen en massieve steunwortels, die u naar het eerste platform leiden. Voel vervolgens de sensatie van het glijden van platform naar platform hoog boven de luifel, met Expert gidsen die zowel veiligheid als opwinding garanderen. Sluit uw reis af met een rustige gondeltocht terug naar beneden, met een prachtig uitzicht op het eiland en de kustlijn. Rainforest Adventures/Sky Rides ligt in het Castries Waterworks Reserve bij La Sorcière Mountain en is het belangrijkste eco-avonturenbedrijf van St. Lucia, gunstig gelegen op slechts 30 minuten van de haven van Castries en de grote hotels.

Als u vervoer nodig heeft boek dan vooraf. Boek voor 16.00:30 uur (St Lucia tijd) van de vorige dag van het bezoek, zodat we in staat zijn om te organiseren. Alle ophalingen zijn 1 uur na de aanmeertijd van het schip. Gasten moeten elkaar ontmoeten voor Diamonds International. Voor de rest van de ophaalpunten ontvang je na je boek een e-mail met timingspecificaties. We booked this but after travelling and getting kitted up, was told the trek and tram was off, which resulted in a choice to do something or nothing at all. Not wanting to waste a morning of our holiday having already travelled out to the venue , We took the option to do the “adrenaline” zip lines, which are ok, but hardly earth shattering on adrenaline if you’ve done that sort of thing before! To make things worse, the partial refund was 15 dollars out of 100 and we waited over 80 minutes for transport back, so not a fantastic experience on what we thought would have been a much better day. After that, others had been informed at the hotel that staff knew the tram was inoperable before we left that morning, which could have saved us the hassle of going, which was a shame really. I will say the staff on the lines tour itself were great and fully attentive.

We were really impressed with this excursion, the transfer picked us up on time from our hotel and took us to the rainforest adventure. All staff were super friendly and really funny, you will be laughing a lot! A special shout out to Mel and I can’t remember the man’s name with us but both of them were SO funny and they knew so much about the rainforest which added to the tour. We had a safety demonstration which was quick but enough detail given to be quick! Throughout the whole 8 lines we felt safe and well looked after. It’s a little strenuous to the first zip line (you will sweat a lot) but it’s well worth it, it’s super fun! Then we went on the aerial tram which exceeded my expectations as it was a long ride and we went SO high, to the top of the rainforest! It was incredible to go through all the layers and to see hummingbirds, so many species of plants and trees and we even spotted a mongoose! After we were kindly given a bottle of water and we browsed the gift shop and purchased some souvenirs. There was a chance to buy professional photos taken, we didn’t opt to do this but somebody else in our group brought some and they said it was $10 for 2 pictures which is very reasonable! The tour guides are great and the nature is amazing! There is a gift shop and coffee bar as well. Fantastic way to relax and see nature away from the busy areas.

We LOVED this experience. It’s surreal to visit a rainforest let alone take a tram and zip line through one too! The guides are friendly, funny, and informative. Zip lining was super fun. This is only a morning activity which was nice to have the rest of the afternoon.
