Castillo de San Marcos rijst trots op langs de kustlijn van St. Augustine. De dikke, grijze coquina muren vormen een kenmerkende stervorm, met schuine bastions die naar de baai uitsteken. Wachttorens en oude kanonnen staan langs de wallen. De ruwe steen van het fort contrasteert met het glinsterende water van de baai van Matanzas, waar de reflectie op kalme dagen danst. Daarachter steekt de charmante skyline van St. Augustine door, met rode daken en verre torenspitsen. De scène is een opvallende mix van geschiedenis, architectuur en kustschoonheid.
De St. Augustine vuurtoren staat hoog en opvallend tegen de hemel. Zijn zwart-witte spiraalvormige strepen verdraaien de toren, bekroond door een rode lantaarn die glimt in het zonlicht. De vuurtoren wordt omgeven door bomen en steekt uit boven het groene bladerdak van het eiland Anastasia. In de buurt verwijzen de rooddakwachterswoningen naar de lange maritieme geschiedenis van de site. Het gedurfde contrast van de kleuren van de vuurtoren maakt het van ver zichtbaar, een klassiek kustbaken dat zeilers al generaties lang begeleidt. Het silhouet is iconisch, zowel elegant als indrukwekkend van een afstand.
De Brug der Leeuwen vormt een sierlijke verbinding tussen de historische wijk van Sint-Augustinus en het eiland Anastasia. Het Beaux-Arts ontwerp is voorzien van twee indrukwekkende leeuwenbeelden aan beide uiteinden, die de verbinding van de stad met zowel Spanje als haar maritieme geschiedenis symboliseren. De sierlijke brug steekt boven het water uit, met zijn groenblauwe ijzerwerk en elegante rondingen die afsteken tegen de skyline. Als boten onder de brug door varen, zijn de ingewikkelde details van de structuur zichtbaar, zoals de decoratieve leuningen en de torenhoge pijlers. Het uitzicht is vooral prachtig bij zonsondergang wanneer het licht weerkaatst op de Matanzas Bay, waardoor de brug in een warme gloed wordt gegoten.

This was such a great way to get into the Christmas season! The lights were great, the Christmas music added to the experience, and our guide was friendly and accommodating.
Boat ride was lots of fun and did not have to deal with car traffic to see the lights. The lights reflected off the water and made the pictures even better.

Boat is open, seats are uncomfortable with no cushion Getting to it can be confusing. The day we went was very cold around 35 degrees. They have blankets for sale at $30 so bring one
Hello, Carmen. We regret that you had anything less than an excellent time with us out on the water as it is our goal to show everyone a fun time. Northern Florida does get some cold temperatures. Peaceful boat ride to see the lighthouse, cross, fort, and lights. Alcohol included is a plus. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We took the champagne sunset night of lights cruise and it was absolutely amazing . I would absolutely recommend it . Such a great price too! The captain and first mate were the best . Would reccomend to anyone wanting a perfect night!
When another boat company overbooked their tour, Captain James and Olivia of Fury absolutely saved the day. Not only did they accept a very last minute reservation, but they also created a fun and festive experience my kids will never forget. Our party of seven loved every minute of their Nights of Lights tour. Thank you guys so much for an unforgettable evening.

WASTED OUR WHOLE NIGHT FOR NOTHING. We arrived early and followed the directions down the bluebird dock, we found a pitch dark dock with no lights, no boats, no signage to tell us we were in the right place. We talked with someone who said the "Fury" was the next dock over, so we walk over there and find a Fury boat tours sign, and talk with another boat captain there who says we are in the right place - Yay, good thing we arrived early, right?! So we wait until our time and stand in line. FOR 45 MINUTES. Then they tell us we are in line for the wrong boat, that there is a SECOND FURY BOAT over at the FIRST spot we went, where there was NO sign?? (WHY did they not at least try to call us??) We run back over and our boat has apparently already left. We talked with the captain on the boat that arrived after ours left, who said this happens ALL THE TIME. It was our last night in town so we couldn't reschedule, I immediately called Viator to explain and nicely asked for a refund, which they DENIED. Now I have to go dispute this with my CC company to get our money back for this cruise that we DID NOT GO ON, despite the fact that we were AN HOUR EARLY, due to their total lack of signange in the right place and ZERO communication with us on the night of our booking. HOW HARD IS IT TO CALL US. AT LEAST PUT OUT A SIGN.
