ST. Augustine Historic Founding to Gilded Age Walking Tour

Het unieke van deze tour zal je voorzien van het bezoeken van sites en het bespreken van alles wat ons land begon op te bouwen. Deze tour is slechts een stadsoverzicht dat u de kennis geeft om door te gaan met het bezoeken van onze lokale sites. De geschiedenis van onze steden, de oprichting van religie en de voortgezette Spaanse architectuur zullen worden besproken. Dit is een wandeltocht, dus draag geschikte wandelschoenen. Onze stad heeft veel straten die extreem oud zijn, persoonlijke ongelukken tijdens de tour door ongepast schoeisel en problemen met de straten zijn niet de schuld van onze tour en zullen onschadelijk worden gehouden.

Terwijl we uitkijken over het Castillo De San Marco, bespreken we de komst van de Spanjaarden, het bloedige bloedbad dat plaatsvond. De aanvallen van de steden door piraten, de bouw van het fort en belegeringen van door de Engelsen bezette nederzettingen in het noorden. En de rol van het Castillo als gevangenis.
Terwijl we St. George Street naar onze volgende locatie lopen, zullen we bespreken hoe en waarom een Grieks-orthodoxe kerk is gevestigd in een Spaans-katholieke stad.
Hier leer je over de Spaanse wet om het stadsplan van 1576 uit te vaardigen voor alle voormalige en nieuwe Spaanse koloniën.
Hier zullen we de 20 jaar Britse heerschappij bespreken en waarom. Ook een verrassende ontdekking die werd beschimpt door orkaan Mathew in 2016.

He took his time to explain not only the landmarks, but the people who made the town what it is today. As much as I thought I knew about Saint Augustine, I was wrong. The tour guide opened my mind to all the history that isn’t quite spoken about as well. Walking to places that I didn’t even notice were there and the back story of the people that lived back in those days was even more interesting to me. It was a wonderful and peaceful experience. It’s great to travel through the city with a tour guide that knows their city well. He was also great at answering all my questions and even led me to some awesome places to eat and check out after the tour was over. If you’re in town and love to learn about history I would suggest taking this tour!

I had the privilege of going on Ephraim’s Haunting ghost tours and heard about his historical tour also. I was very impressed with his factual ghost tour that I wanted to hear what he had to share with me about the history of Saint Augustine. He did not disappoint. It was AWESOME!
