Ga met ons mee op een privétour door het Koninkrijk Fife vanuit Edinburgh. Hopelijk ontmoeten we onze beroemde Highland 'Coos'. Bewonder de UNESCO Forth Bridge over de rivier. Bezoek het Renaissance Falkland Palace, de thuisbasis van de oudste tennisbaan in Groot-Brittannië, en beroemd geworden door de Outlander TV-serie. Verken de middeleeuwse stad St Andrews met zijn schilderachtige cafés en winkels. Neem een foto van de 'Old Course', Schotland meest beroemde golfbaan en de thuisbasis van Golf wereldwijd. Bezoek Fife's eens bruisende vissersdorpjes. Bezoek St Fillan's Cave Verken het beste Fife-strand in de jacht op zeeglas en zeeschelpen.

De Forth Rail Bridge, een UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocatie gebouwd in 1890, overspant de rivier de Forth naast de zusterbruggen gebouwd in 1964 en voor het laatst in 2017.
Het Renaissance Falkland Palace werd gebouwd in opdracht van koning James IV en was een favoriete toevluchtsoord voor Mary Queen of Scots. Het heeft ook de oudste echte tennisbaan ter wereld. De populaire tv-serie Outlander werd gefilmd in het dorp, waar Frank en Claire hun tweede huwelijksreis vierden, en als je een fan bent van de serie, zul je het meteen herkennen.
St. Andrews, de thuisbasis van Golf, de oudste universiteit van Schotland en een grote kathedraal die al in 1158 werd gebouwd, was het centrum van het katholicisme in Schotland. Je krijgt de kans om op de foto te gaan op de iconische Old Course en het kleine middeleeuwse stadje te verkennen, vol met geplaveide straatjes, leuke cafés en onafhankelijke winkels.
We maken onze weg langs de Oost-Neuk, door de vele vissersdorpjes voordat we stoppen bij het eens zo bruisende vissersdorp Pittenweem, waar we St Fillan's Cave bezoeken, de thuisbasis van een Ierse missionaris in de 7e eeuw
Een van de beste stranden in Fife voor de jacht op zeeschelpen en zeeglas, die vaak op het strand te vinden zijn dankzij de twee lokale glasfabrieken die hier 100 jaar geleden gevestigd waren. Het ongewenste glas werd toen in zee gedumpt en spoelt hier nog steeds aan op het strand nadat het door de zee en het zand is gepolijst.

Our driver, Darryl, customized out tour to our desires and to.e constraints. He was charming and helpful, and gave us a running history of the sites we passed and visited. A wonderful day. The vehicle was spacious and safe.

We had a great day with Darryl touring the Scottish coast and St. Andrews. Darryl picked us right up in front of our hotel in a large van, plenary of room. Darryl is quite a musician and we got to hear some Scottish folk music from his former band he was in. Getting to see St. Andrews was quite a treat, and some surrounding pubs. It was a lovely day!

We had a wonderful day with our guide Phil. He was very knowledgeable about the area and brought us to off the beaten path places to see things like a Johnny Cash bench since we lived in Nashville for so long. He helped by taking pictures of us at St. Andrews which we will always treasure. Very open to making the tour and stops what we wanted since it was just us. Had a delicious lunch at Balgove Larder cafe during our day with him. Would highly recommend the tour to see St. Andrews and the fishing villages.

I want to put on record that Diana is the best guide you can find; the three couples were very comfortable with her, she showed us the most iconic places and landscapes of the area, it was very pleasant and an excellent experience, we recommend Diana as the best guide for traveling through Scotland on a private tour. Paul with E2G Tours provided the best day of our week in Scotland! We were picked up in front of our AirB&B on time with a comfortable, roomy vehicle. Paul was super friendly and a great conversationalist for our day together. He shared lots of information on landmarks we passed while driving and those we stopped at during the day. Our family wanted to spend extended time at St Andrews and we were easily accommodated. We all especially enjoyed the candid pictures he took of us during the tour. Shak was wonderful. He was funny and very informative. When we got to st Andrew’s we felt like we played golf just from this walking tour!! Cave was great too!! Icing on the cake was the Scottish snacks our families new treats!

Our driver was Darryl. He was a good guide and took us for two different tours 2 different days. one was to the st Andrew’s golf course! He talked to the employee and they let us take a picture on the bridge on the golf course! It was such a neat experience and such a great friendly driver! We were a group of 4 girls and Darryl made us feel safe the entire time. He made suggestions for other things we were doing and some options for us to do them. It was such a nice experience to have someone from Scotland help us and give us some advice on things to do and see! Thanks for such a great tour Darryl!

Our driver Darryl was great! He was knowledgeable and very accommodating for our group on a girls trip. We loved being able to book a small tour group for just the four of us. And not one of the big bus tours. Loved getting picked up directly from our hotel. Felt more personal and Darryl’s personality was just icing on the cake. Highly recommend.
