SINDS 2016 bieden deze bekroonde, authentieke en spannende WANDELTOCHTEN voor GESCHIEDENISLIEFHEBBERS een unieke mix van geschiedenis, ontdekkingen en plezier met voordeel van gelicentieerde inwonergidsen, Split-inboorlingen en experts met een masterdiploma in geschiedenisstudies en economie, echte echte historici die letterlijk de recente geschiedenis beleefden, hier opgroeiden in de jaren 80 / 90 tijdens zware tijden van het communisme en de vaderlandoorlog en originele, diepgaande, lokale kennis hebben van Dalmatië, de oudste en mooiste regio van Kroatië. Tijdens deze tour verken je de oude middeleeuwse binnenstad met het spectaculaire Paleis van Romeinse keizer Diocletianus gebouwd in AD 305 (uit 1979 op de UNESCO Werelderfgoedlijst). Bezoek aan het Museum van Kelders als het best bewaarde deel van het Paleis van Diocletianus is een andere geweldige aanvulling op deze Tour. SMALL-GROUP SIZE (max.16) stelt ons in staat om 'achter de schermen' te gaan en de bestemming te ervaren 'door de ogen van de lokale bevolking'. My friend and I recently visited the Palace and had the pleasure of being guided by Joško. Joško was extremely knowledgeable and brought the history of the Palace to life. As a 13th-generation Croatian who lived through the war of the 1990s, he was able to provide both historical facts and personal insights that made the tour especially meaningful. He is a very pleasant, personable, and engaging guide with a genuine passion for the history of the Palace. He explained the story of the Emperor, the construction of the Palace, the materials used, and what daily life was like there centuries ago. He also spoke about the damage the Palace suffered during the war and the efforts made to preserve this remarkable historical site. I would highly recommend Joško to anyone planning a tour of the Palace. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and personal connection to the history make for a truly memorable experience. Enjoy!
