Trogir is een UNESCO Werelderfgoed stad die bekend staat om zijn prachtige mix van geschiedenis en charme. Het werd meer dan 2000 jaar geleden opgericht en heeft gezien dat Grieken, Romeinen en Venetianen allemaal hun sporen hebben achtergelaten. De oude stad ligt op een klein eiland, verbonden door bruggen, en is perfect om te voet te verkennen. De smalle stenen straatjes, verborgen binnenplaatsen en kleine pleintjes creëren een speciale sfeer die voelt alsof je terug in de tijd stapt. In het hart van Trogir staat de kathedraal van St. Lawrence, beroemd om zijn 13e-eeuwse portaal gesneden door Meester Radovan. De met palmbomen omzoomde waterkant is een ander hoogtepunt, met cafés, boten en het Kamerlengo Fort met een prachtig uitzicht op de zee en de stad. Hoewel compact, Trogir is echt onvergetelijk.
Het Paleis van Diocletianus is het hart van Split en een van de meest opmerkelijke Romeinse monumenten ter wereld. Gebouwd rond 305 AD door de Romeinse keizer Diocletianus als zijn rusthuis, het paleis is meer als een kleine stad dan een enkel gebouw. Binnen de massieve muren vindt u een doolhof van smalle straatjes, levendige pleinen en eeuwen geschiedenis gelaagd samen. Hoogtepunten zijn de Peristyle, ooit de ceremoniële binnenplaats; de kathedraal van St. Domnius, oorspronkelijk het mausoleum van Diocletianus; en de ondergrondse kelders, die u een idee geven van de oorspronkelijke omvang van het paleis. Vandaag de dag leeft het paleis nog steeds, gevuld met winkels, cafés en woningen. We were traveling on a Celebrity tour and were hesitant to take an activity outside the ship activities but we are so glad we took the excursion. The tour was in constant contact with us and gave clear instructions and met us just outside the ship. The vehicle was a brand new sprinter and we had Ivan as our tour director. Ivan was informative and made the tour interesting. We had an incredible time and we were so glad that we experienced this tour.
Our guide Mario M. was fantastic! The tour provides a great way to see and learn all about the the history of Trogir and the history of Split and Diocletian's Palace. Mario M. was a fantastic guide. He was engaging, friendly and personable, and was very informative talking about the sites we visited. We loved our time with Mario M. and can't say enough good things about this tour. If you are looking for something to do in Split, you should absolutely consider this tour for the value. So glad we did this tour. Fantastic!

Mario did a very good job guiding and accompanying us with good listening skills. The small group was ideal for enjoying it, and the van had good air conditioning!!!

We had a great time on our Split and Trogir tour during our port day in Split, Croatia. Our tour guide, Judita, was excellent. She was very fun. She had a lot of fun facts and information about the area and really did a great job showing us the two locations. We had plenty of time in both locations and still had free time in Spilt to catch a meal, do some shopping or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I highly recommend this tour

The pick up was flawless. Our guide was the best of all of our excursions this trip. He was knowledgeable, clever, funny and most importantly, easy to understand. Trogir was a beautiful city and the highlights pointed out by our guide made us want to come back. Split was a great experience as well, despite or guide leaving us behind at the golden gate, we were easily able to rejoin the group with help of the company contacting him. He was able to return us to the ship so we didn’t have to make the long walk back
