De meest fascinerende, intrigerende en magische heuveltop dorpen van de Luberon van Gordes, Abdij van Senanque, Roussillon, Bonnieux naar Lourmarin en zijn 15e eeuwse Château de Lourmarin. De Luberon is een Provençaalse lappendeken van heuveltop dorpen, wijngaarden, oude abdijen en geurige lavendelvelden. Een landelijke regio die tijd maakt voor de goede dingen in het leven. Onze reis begint met een bezoek aan Gordes, pittoresk dorpje, bekend om zijn prachtige stenen huizen en kronkelende geplaveide straatjes, nodigt u uit om de rijke geschiedenis en levendige cultuur van de Luberon te verkennen via Abbey de Sénanque naar Roussillon die vooral bekend staat om zijn kenmerkende rode kliffen, gecreëerd door 's werelds grootste bekende oker schadeborg, tijd voor lunch in een van de dorpsrestaurants. Vervolgens een korte rit naar Bonnieux via de Romeinse brug door de Luberon massief naar het dorp Lourmarin - de straten bekleed met chique galeries en boetiekjes. Mis een bezoek aan het Renaissance Château de Lourmarin niet.

Bij aankomst in het dorp Gordes, waar we een goed uur doorbrengen met het verkennen van smalle straatjes op zoek naar antiekwinkels, galeries, cafés en boetieks. Tijd hier voor een snack en 's ochtends koffie. Als we vertrekken, is het bezoek aan Village des Bories een van de hoogtepunten van de dag.
Bezoek aan het dorp waar je de mogelijkheid hebt om zowel het dorp, de markten (wanneer ze opereren) en een bezoek aan het kasteel te bezoeken - Château de Lourmarin (toegang niet inbegrepen en de tijd het toelaat)

What a beautiful area of Provence. I’ve been to Provence many times but this was my first time to see these beautiful hilltop villages and they were spectacular.!

We had a spectacular day, very well paced and planned through the French countryside to small villages with Laurent, who must know every inch of the area. He is a great storyteller, funny, and opened our eyes to seeing things we may not have noticed on our own. Plus, he knew a few good shops along the way. Highly recommend him and this company. Their communications are terrific every step of the way!

Our guide Laurent was a terrific guide. He was friendly, and incredibly insightful and knowledgeable with every place we visited. He tirelessly introduced and explained the history/facts of sites, monuments and areas. Laurent made the entire day an enjoyable experience. We were all comfortable and felt the day was easy and relaxed. We recommend Laurent to anyone looking to enjoy a day visiting and being charmed by Luberon villages.

Hello and thank you for your comments with regards to your visit to Lourmarin. It seems that you visited on your own and not on a private tour with us. We are OohProvence and specialise in private guided tours with a driver/guide. We have no record of you booking a tour with us. If as it seems you parked your car on a pavement - you do in fact risk a parking ticket. That happens here in the Luberon as it does in all towns and cities in France. It's a pity you feel this is reason not to return to Lourmarin, but you are right in that these and other villages do get busy and it's always a good idea to arrive early and find a proper parking place for your car. Public car parks are outside of our control. FRENCH: Bonjour et merci pour votre commentaire suite à votre visite à Lourmarin. Il semble que vous ayez visité le site seul et non lors d'une visite privée avec nous. Nous sommes OohProvence et sommes spécialisés dans les visites guidées privées avec chauffeur/guide. Nous n'avons aucune trace de votre réservation d'une visite avec nous. Si, semble-t-il, vous avez garé votre voiture sur un trottoir, vous risquez en fait une contravention de stationnement. Cela se passe ici dans le Luberon comme dans toutes les villes de France. C'est dommage que vous pensiez que c'est une raison pour ne pas retourner à Lourmarin, mais vous avez raison, ces villages et d'autres sont très fréquentés et c'est toujours une bonne idée d'arriver tôt et de trouver une place de parking appropriée pour votre voiture. Les parkings publics échappent à notre contrôle.
Our guide, Laurent Nurisso, was excellent. We actually did three full day tours including the tiny hilltop villages tour from Gordes to Lourmarin, Marseille, Cassis, Nice, and Cannes, among other cities. It was historical, educational, fun and a real exhilarating workout, too! On future trips to France, we would definitely use OohProvence again and strongly recommend them!!

Two excursions in two full days with Laurent in Provence (the villages and the wine tour). He is a very learned and friendly man, with a very good sense of humor. The relaxed pace of the excursions, as well as its detailed explanations allowed us to deepen our cultural appreciation of Provence. It was an unforgettable and stimulating experience, with lots of laughs too. We miss him so much, until our next trip to Provence!

We had the best time in Provence thanks to Laurent! We did a 2 day tour: Marsielle and Cassis for day 1 and Luberon villages for day 2. My sister and I wanted a full Provence experience since this was our first time, and Ooh Provence modified the tours to accommodate our requests (e.g., we stopped by the Abbey in Gordes). On the first day we did a walking tour of old Marseilles and the port, drove up the cathedral and a cliff for beautiful panoramic views, had a relaxing lunch in Cassis and did a walking tour. On the second day we visited three charming Luberon villages: Gordes, Roussillon, and Lourmarin. We walked around each of them, had lunch and explored the mine in Rousillon , and ended the day strolling around Lourmarin. The tours were paced perfectly to give us enough time to enter cute shops, eat and share stories, and even grab cool drinks at a cafe by the end of the day. It felt like we were being shown around by a good friend. We were glad to have Laurent as our tour guide. He was very knowledgable and shared the history, architecture, and many fun facts about each location. He also took great care of his us, down to little things: offered cold water throughout the day ( the cooler in the car was a great idea during the hot weather), brought our luggage straight to the hotel separately for our convenience, made a lunch reservation so that we wouldn’t have to wait too long to be seated, shared life stories that made the tour much more personal, and we felt very safe that we accidentally fell asleep in the care ride due to jetlag (apparently he was sharing some trivia about our surrounding but we weren’t responding hahaha sorry laurent! 🤣), and offered help when the cobblestones were quite slippery going downhill the villages. Would 11/10 recommend taking a tour with Laurent and Chris!

What a wonderful day out! The Luberon is absolutely stunning, especially Ménerbes. Chris and Laurent's planning was just perfect and they are super friendly and full of local knowledge. Everything was taken care of so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. Thank you OohProvence.
