Vaar door het gletsjerwonderland van IJsland. Ervaar de Jökulsárlón-gletsjerlagune van dichtbij tijdens dit onvergetelijke zuidkustavontuur. Na een schilderachtige rit langs vulkanen, watervallen en zwarte zandstranden, stap je aan boord van een boot om tussen drijvende ijsbergen te cruisen - sommige meer dan 1000 jaar oud - op het diepste meer van IJsland. Kijk hoe gloeiend blauw ijs voorbij drijft en wandel vervolgens langs de oevers van Diamond Beach, waar fragmenten schitteren op zwart vulkanisch zand. Met Expert gidsen en filmische uitzichten is deze tour pure Arctische magie. Eyjafjallajökull is een stratovulkaan in IJsland, beroemd om zijn uitbarsting in 2010 die een wijdverspreide verstoring van het vliegverkeer in heel Europa veroorzaakte. De vulkaan is bedekt met een gletsjer, of "jökull" in het IJslands, vandaar zijn naam.
Skógafoss is een majestueuze waterval in het zuiden van IJsland, langs de rivier de Skógá. Skógafoss is een van de meest iconische en vaak gefotografeerde watervallen van IJsland en trekt bezoekers van over de hele wereld. Volgens de legende is er achter de waterval een schatkist verborgen, wat bijdraagt aan de allure en mystiek.
Lunchpauze
Jökulsárlón is een betoverende gletsjerlagune in het zuidoosten van IJsland. Het is gevormd door het smeltende ijs van de Breiðamerkurjökull-gletsjer, wat resulteert in een adembenemende uitgestrektheid van sereen blauw water bezaaid met ijsbergen. Onze pick-up voertuigen zijn goed gemarkeerd met de Reykjavik Excursies. • Elke chauffeur heeft een paar haltes, dus het kan tot 30 minuten duren om iedereen op te halen, dus u hoeft zich geen zorgen te maken als de bus er niet meteen is.

Bus did not arrive at pickup point and the later tour was sold out. No communication from the company on their app or by email. Can we give zero stars?

Very well organised tour. Sights were amazing and our guide (and driver) Gudjon Jes was very helpful and knowledgeable, providing us with a lot of information and making the long tour really interesting! I strongly suggest the optional boat tour in the glacier lagoon. It was an amazing experience!!!

Our glacier and South Coast tour of Iceland was an unforgettable experience, packed with stunning scenery, exhilarating and interesting activities, and memorable moments from start to finish. The tour guide, Albert, was informative and comedic. The driver was also very good as he drives safely. It started off on a good note when the van that picked us up from the bus stop came on time, and the transfers were smooth, directly leading us to the bus. From there we went to a glacier from the period of the ice age. The glacier tour in the boat was breathtaking, and we even had the chance to witness icebergs (and even possibly saw fish that got trapped in the ice) and hold small chunks of ice that fell off the glacier/ iceberg’s. Additionally, the food stops were very good and had reasonable prices with lots of different options ( veg & non veg ). Also, the crowd size in all the destinations were minimal and enjoyable as we didn’t stand in line for an hour for food, admission tickets, etc. Furthermore, the journey was as beautiful as the destination itself, we witnessed lava fields, encountered live animals (sheep, horse, birds, ) and plain green land with lakes and mountains. Finally, the waterfalls at the end acted as the cherry on top, being able to go right next to the waterfall and in another one go behind it ( short ten minute walk from one another ) . However, one thing that could be improved is having more time at the diamond beach as we had very limited time (15min for diamond beach). Best for family with kids as they get to play around in the waterfalls (splash warning ‼️).
