South Iceland, Waterfalls en Black Sand Beach Tour nemen je mee op een ontdekkingsreis door de vele dramatische gezichten van het IJslandse landschap. De zuidkust van IJsland is de platste van het land waardoor het ideaal is voor landbouw, maar omdat dit IJsland is, is het land ook omringd door majestueuze bergen, Skogafoss en Seljalandsfoss watervallen, opdoemende vulkanen en gletsjers, Reynisfjara zwart zandstrand en de formidabele zee . Uw deskundige gids zal ook wijzen op verschillende beruchte vulkanen, waaronder Hekla, Eyjafjallajokull en Katla.

Hekla is een van de meest actieve vulkanen van IJsland en werd eeuwenlang beschouwd als de toegang tot de hel.
Bezoek de Skogafoss-waterval. Dit is een pittoreske 200-voet (60 meter) hoge, brede en krachtige waterval, en vanwege het opvallende uiterlijk wordt het vaak gebruikt in films en commercials. Je kunt dichtbij genoeg komen om de spray van de watervallen op je gezicht te voelen en, als je wilt, dan een trap beklimmen die leidt naar de top van de waterval, zodat je een blik van boven kunt maken.
Wandel over het zwarte zand en kiezelstrand van Reynisfjara. Het strand beschikt over stapels basaltkolommen die de omliggende kliffen omringen met grotten. U zult onder de indruk zijn van de ongelooflijk krachtige golven van de Atlantische Oceaan die op de kust stranden. Offshore ziet u de Reynisdrangar-pilaren, basaltgesteentestapels die uit de zee oprijzen.
Hier stoppen we bij een lokaal restaurant voor een lunchpauze op eigen kosten.
Een vulkaan / gletsjer, die wereldwijd de aandacht trok in 2010, toen de aswolk van een uitbarsting alle vliegverkeer in Europa stopte.
Korte stop bij Solheimajokull, een outlet-gletsjer van de Myrdalsjokull-gletsjer.
Seljalandsfoss is een unieke waterval omdat je er echt achter kunt lopen als het weer het toelaat en de schoonheid van deze waterval op een geheel nieuwe manier ervaart.

This tour was fantastic! We had such a great tour guide, Unnur Maria, who taught us so much about Iceland and its people and its geology as well! She made our journey so enjoyable and educational!! Our driver, Pavel, took great care in getting us to all of the sites on this tour. He was a very safe driver and a lovely person, as well! We had an amazing trip - our guide, Gunnar (Dr G) was super knowledgeable and very informative, as well as having a fantastic sense of humour. We saw the most beautiful sites, Gunnar gave great photo stop recommendations, and our driver Reynir was also excellent. A must for those that want to explore natural Iceland outside Reykjavik!

This was an amazing adventure. Was able to see all the main areas of Iceland on our list. Raining a lot but the tour guy and bus driver brought us to areas of less rain in the area first and then back to the other spots so we were able to see all the sights and take amazing pictures

I had a fantastic time with our guide Richie and driver Mikki - they were fantastic! A long tour, Richie kept us entertained and was incredibly knowledgeable about geology, history, pop culture - you name it. Mikki was incredibly patient and drove us all safe and sound. I came on this tour alone and enjoyed every moment of it! Definitely wear waterproof clothes - they’re needed. Special shout out to the great playlist from Richie!!

This was a wonderful tour of the South Coast! Our guide Richie truly made this a memorable experience, as he was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful playlist to keep us entertained while driving past scenic views. We learned about the geology of Iceland, and saw so many waterfalls. We were searching for a tour that would allow a good amount of time in Vik, which we found with this tour. We had lunch in Vik, and had time to walk around a bit.

Our guide Richie and driver mikki both were amazing, it was a long day but they were really amazing even when some people on the bus wanted a different drop off location. Also amazingly beautiful places we went. Just a suggestion that if stop at black sand beach could be longer because lunch place over there was better than at Vik. Vik has more options though.

Great experience! The guide Gudjon Jes and the driver Bartek were amazing with storytelling and all the details about south coast of Iceland. You visit all the popular spots plus you have a laugh. Highly recommended!
