I don’t think it was clear enough that snorkeling entry is NOT included; extremely misleading. I asked for a refund and they would not provide it.
Aloha, Not only is the entry fee is clearly communicated at multiple points during the booking process. It is stated on our website, prior to confirming your booking and on the page you purchased this on. You also were talking with us back and forth asking about how to get tickets, therefore you knew this was just gears. You were unsuccessful at getting tickets, which we understand how frustrating that is but our team wrote a step by step detailed instructions on how you can still get into the bay the day of. Therefore yes your refund request was denied because you were originally booked on one day, and we made an exception to reschedule you for another date. Since we made an exception for you we were clear in the message that you would not receive a refund.
The woman running it was super nice. We got our gear quickly and had no issues. The only downsides were that the place isn't conveniently located - we thought we'd be able to walk from here to Hanauma Bay, but it's about a 7 minute drive, so we had to do a second rideshare to get there. The goggles also fogged up frequently, but with choosing a cheaper rental option, I wasn't totally surprised by that. Also if you choose to rent here, make sure you have a pass to enter into the bay, as it's not included. The inconveniences were rectified by the fact that there is a Leonard's bakery in the parking lot selling fresh malasadas - the best we've ever had.
My family and i had a very great experience with kaimana tour, started when we booked and until of the equipment rental . I had with me a nephew who couldn't dive without glasses and they provided the appropriate goggles that made him very happy. We will definitely use them again, and we very recommend.
They didn’t put any fog spray on the goggles so they fogged up the whole time. They were for snorkeling so I used my friends mask majority of the time.
Hi elsa, we are sorry that you didn't have a great experience at the bay. Masks tend to fog up when you breath through your nose, we recommend trying to breath from your mouth to avoid fogging. We apologize if the driver wasn't clear about that part.
We were not able to get tickets to Haunama Bay and they refused to refund us our money. We were told to take our snorkel gear to another beach.
Aloha, our snorkel gear rentals have no affiliation to Hanauma bay as stated on our website and repeated to you when you rent the equipment. Its written in many different places before booking.
Kiamana Tours staff was very helpful. Our goal was to have a nice snorkeling experience at Hanauma Bay. Mission accomplished! Kiamana Tours, where we picked up the gear, was very informative and nice. They answered all of our questions. From Waikiki Beach to Kiamana Tour is less than 10 miles away. Kiamana Tour is about 1.6 miles from Hanauma Bay. Your basic tours to see marine life averages around $80-$150 per person. If you want to save a couple of bucks and spend the day at Hanauma Bay, this is the way to go.
First of all you need to explain the process in your advertising! Pur experience was exhausting to say the least. First you told me to cancel. Y reservation because I was driving. So I rented equipment. The man would note us in. Then he did. Lady told us we had to wait until 1240 to go. It was 9am. We had another engagement at 2pm. There was no way we would have made that. So it appears that we were on stand by. Actually I got into trouble because I actually drove in. We were outby 11am. Bad bad advertising.
Aloha, When renting snorkeling equipment we have no association to Hanauma Bay, it just states we are located near the Bay. You're free to snorkel wherever on the island. We are simply a snorkel shop. Thank you for your feedback but I believe this review was better meant for Hanauma Bay Park.
The people at the dive shop were lovely and helpful. Unfortunately you have to have a reservation for the mandatory video training to be allowed in the water. That has to be made in advance with the park service, then it's $25 cash per person to snorkeling in Hanauma bay plus parking ( also cash only). Get all those things in place before you rent your gear.
very friendly and nice staff. was a little difficult to find the location through waze once its an open mall with different entrances.
Good customer service. Helpful tips. They helped us make our day trip to Hanauma Bay easier. Called me and asked what I needed when I emailed them. And great service when we went to the store. The email to pick up the gear was detailed and helpful.
