Maak een eendaagse tour per speedboot naar de prachtige eilanden van de Phi Phi-eilanden met ophaalservice vanaf je hotel op Koh Lanta. Snorkel in kristalhelder water over prachtige koraalriffen met kleurrijke vissen in Viking Bay en Shark Point. Loop van Loh Samah Bay naar het beroemde strand van Maya Bay, vaar naar Phi Le Bay en spot krabbenetende makaken in Monkey Bay.

Je wordt direct opgehaald bij je hotel op Koh Lanta en ontmoet de bootbemanning van Opal Travel bij Saladan Pier.
Na een korte briefing is het tijd om in minder dan 50 minuten per speedboot naar Phi Phi Leh te varen.
De eerste stop is bij Viking Cave, waar je langzaam langs de Gierzwaluwnesten komt die door de lokale bevolking worden geoogst.
Maak niet ver van Viking Cave de eerste snorkelstop in Viking Bay met een kunstmatig rif en een natuurlijk hellend rif.
Vaar verder naar de Pileh-lagune voor een bezoek aan de majestueuze kalkstenen kliffen rond de smaragdgroene lagune.
Ga verder naar Loh Samah Bay, waar de kapitein de speedboot zal afmeren aan de drijvende rubberen pier, zodat je gemakkelijk naar de andere kant van Phi Phi Leh kunt lopen, beroemd om zijn iconische 'The Beach'.
Maya Bay is een verbluffend mooie baai die aan drie kanten wordt beschut door 100 meter hoge kliffen. Binnen de baai zijn er verschillende stranden, de meeste zijn klein en sommige bestaan alleen bij eb. De belangrijkste is ongeveer 200 meter lang met zijdezacht wit zand, kleurrijk onderwaterkoraal en exotische vissen in uitzonderlijk helder water; de hele baai is één groot rif.
Op Koh Phi Phi Don kun je genieten van een uitgebreid Thais lunchbuffet met kip Massaman curry, gefrituurde kip, roergebakken gemengde groenten, gestoomde rijst, vers seizoensfruit en frisdrank. Je kunt zelfs het hoofdeiland een beetje verkennen, dit kleine stukje paradijs bestaat uit twee rotsachtige uiteinden verbonden door een dunne strook zand. Aan elke kant zijn de turquoise en smaragdgroene baaien, Loh Dalam Bay en Ton Sai Bay.
Spot krabetende makaken in Monkey Bay (bekend als Ao Ling in het Thais), een populaire plek op het eiland Phi Phi Don. Gelegen bij de ingang van Dalum Bay, is het een kleine baai, die erg lijkt op Monkey Beach, afgezien van het zand, dat dikker en heldergeel is. Een prachtig koraalrif ligt op ongeveer 50 meter van het strand en biedt onvergetelijke snorkelmogelijkheden.
Voordat je terugkeert naar Koh Lanta, maak je een laatste snorkelstop bij Shark Point. Hier zie je kleurrijke zachte koralen en veel vissen en zee-egels.

- Thailand's Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation heeft aangekondigd dat Maya Bay en Loh Samah Bay voor onbepaalde tijd gesloten zullen blijven. De reisroute zal enigszins veranderen, omdat de boot niet op 'The Beach' aan land kan gaan, maar in plaats daarvan op andere plaatsen bij Phi Phi Leh.
- Er zijn minimaal 13 mensen nodig om deze tour te runnen!
- Voer de apen niet, want dat maakt ze agressief en voorkomt dat ze naar voedsel zoeken zoals ze normaal zouden doen.

Good trip by speedboat. Phi Phi islands are truly beautiful, but spoilt by the number of people. It’s a shame the numbers can’t be controlled to make the experience better. Well worth going though.
Very well organised and ample time to explore and see each place. We arrived at Maya Bay at a good time, it didn’t feel overwhelmingly busy which is what we were expecting. Did some great snorkelling and our guide was very good
As it was low season, we were combined with another tour company boat (same itinerary) which was overcrowded (around 50 people) and many people were seasick. Not happy as the Opal tour boat we were supposed to be on was bigger and the one we were put on (Rattana tours) was smaller and has bad online reviews. Two of the tour staff were nice but the tour itself was very unorganised and we felt like cattle being herded from boat to beach and back again amongst very big crowds. Two people from the tour did not return on the boat so not sure if they organized a private return to Koh Lanta or were left there by the tour boat. If you have small children or get seasickness this is not the tour for you. We were stuck between people being sick in bags on either side of us.
Had a great day and the crew and guide were so organized and professional. The snorkeling was amazing and we had just the right amount of time at each stop off place. Beautiful islands and scenery. The boat was clean and we were given plenty of water throughout the day from the cool box. Although a speedboat it didn’t feel too bumpy and we really enjoyed the ride. Would thoroughly recommend this trip.

After we were on Koh Rok etc. and this tour was fantastic we thought; use the time and explore Phi Phi, with the sister islands. The transfer was on time - there and back - that suited. The crew was friendly and the Service okay. However, the tour was generally disappointing from the point of view of what we booked. Snorkeling at the Viking Bay is okay but not a “must see” but that’s subjective – nobody can help it. The snorkeling at Monkey Point was easy, as was the snorkeling at Shark Point. Ergo, 2 of the 4 snorkel courses did not take place, which is just a shame. After all, I pay the full price that is in the prospectus - then I expect exactly this service or at least a discount. If I had known about the sightseeing tour in advance, we would have booked something else.

The trip is very good you see many things and can also take many pictures. It was a pity that we did not stop at Monkey Beach and were allowed to get off. Unfortunately, Maya Bay was closed, but the guides can't help it. Lunch on the beach was sufficient and we also got fresh fruit on the boat. The tour guides were very nice and funny.
Lots of boats, imposed rhythm, beautiful but crowded bamboo island, poorly maintained monkey island. 1 stop out of the 2 scheduled. A “private” excursion would probably be much more enjoyable.
It was all very easy. They picked us up at the resort and took us to the boat. We were shown some beautiful areas with great photo opportunities. Snorkeling was decent, not the best I have ever experienced, but fun. Lunch was very good food. The area of Ko Phi Phi that boats are allowed to unload is quit busy and not very pleasant. I would think that staying overnight to see the rest of the island would be well worth it. Some folks at our resort did just that and said it was so worth it. They found delicious fresh fish available to eat unlike Ko Lanta.
Having had a fantastic day with Opal Travel and Joy 😃 🙂 snorkled two places and got seen many colorful fishes. Within one pair of beaches and must highlight Bambo beach - some of the most amazing I have seen. Nice lunch. Finished tour by Phi Phi, with possibility for shopping and a short stop at Monkey Bay. Joy was a super good and not least fun guide. Had a great day with varied program 😃👍
