We zullen dit imposante neoklassieke gebouw bewonderen dat als inspiratie heeft gediend voor talloze overheidsgebouwen over de hele wereld. Cuba, Argentinië en Puerto Rico hebben zelfs hun eigen replica's. Bij binnenkomst in het interieur ontdekken we alles over de oorsprong van het Congres en zien we de spectaculaire koepel.
De volgende stop is de Library of Congress, een van de grootste ter wereld. Naast zijn schoonheid bezit het interieur van de bibliotheek schatten van onschatbare waarde, zoals een van de eerste Bijbels die Gutenberg drukte.
Om de tour af te sluiten, bezoeken we het Hooggerechtshof, waar we u vertellen over de kenmerken van de belangrijkste rechterlijke instantie van het land. De imposante zuilen en friezen die de grote wetgevers van het land voorstellen, zijn enkele van de meest opmerkelijke attracties.
Op de afgesproken tijd ontmoeten we elkaar bij de ingang van de Library of Congress en beginnen we ons avontuur bij de Capitol Hill Tour. You see a lot, but there are many things explained that you would not know of otherwise. Guides are very knowledgeable, very friendly, and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Joe was excellent!
Our guide Joe was great and extremely knowledgeable. He moved us along at a great pace and the flow through the different buildings was smooth. He was able to tailor the discussions around where everyone was from and show us our state specific monuments.
