This is a must!!! Luigi is the best guide going around, treats you like ‘family’ and you leave feeling like a local! This is the second time I’ve done a tour with Luigi and I’ve not regretted it. He gives you all the information you need, lots of free time and you move and a great pace! We saw everything you needed to see plus we got to see extras that weren’t mentioned, this tour is a must!!!!
Marcella, was fantastic! Organized, informative, fun, knowledgeable, and on time! Offered options and helped make wait times quicker!
Great 2nd experience. Sea tides prevented visit to the blue grotto. However the chairlift ride and boat tour during our Capri visit were great. Marcella was a fantastic host who is always well organized and incredibly helpful and kind. Highly recommend.
Our tour guide Luigi was awesome, friendly and patient and full of knowledge, we thoroughly enjoyed our day with him, our only regret was the Blue Grotto was closed but was not his fault, we made the best of it.
Marcella was excellent, she really cared about making our day and the best experience. She was really happy for us to see n get to the blue grotto early , allowing her to add a nice boat tour as well. She was very informative and told us where to go and see while in Capri.
My husband and I did this tour and can highly recommend it. Marcella was our excellent guide - friendly, knowledgable and attentive. Her priority was for us to see the Blue Grotto and maximise our experience of the island. Having the shuttle buses to bring us around the island was a great timesaver. The Grotto was closed when we arrived so Marcella brought us straight to the chairlift in Anacapri to avoid any long queue. This was not included in the price and cost €15 each. We then had some free time in Anacapri before heading to the Blue Grotto, again beating a long queue. Tips are expected by the boatmen, generally €5/€10. The Grotto is stunning but you literally only spend 2/3 minutes in there. There are many steps down to the Grotto and you need to be able to lie back in the boat to enter through the narrow opening, so not suitable for those with mobility issues. Any time we were on the bus, Marcella told us lots of interesting facts about the island. To finish we had some free time in Capri where Marcella recommended places to go and somewhere to eat. A really enjoyable day
Amazing experience on this trip. Marcella our guide was full of joy and made the day so smooth. We went directly to the blue grotto first and only waited maybe 10 minutes. Then we did Anacapri and Capri. After Marcella arranged a private boat alongside the coast of the island which was incredible. Wonderful excursion!
It was a great tour and experience. Our guide Marcella was very friendly helpful and professional. Highly recommending her.
The tour company was wonderful and did everything as expected. The Blue Grotto may not be for you if it's a hot day or if you're at all claustrophobic. The goal was to be one of the 1st groups in line so there wouldn't be a long wait. We learned that often the Blue Grotto doesn't open until later after long lines have formed. Because it didn't open at 9 when our group would have gotten there, we saw Anacapri 1st which was beautiful. When the grotto opened around 11 our group was taken to the line and we waited in blazing hot sun with very little shade for 3 hours. The line moved very little and we were told it could have been worse. I was unaware that we would have to lie down in the small boats in order to get into the grotto since the opening is so low. Once in the cave it was very small with waves crashing in. Anyone with space issues may have a hard time. When it was time to leave the grotto we had to wait for the other boats coming in. Only one boat at a time could pass through and going against the waves with boats coming in was stressful. Yes it was beautiful, but overall not enjoyable. Had the line and the hot sun not been a factor the experience would have been much different. For 10 minutes in the water it wasn't worth the money.
Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad to hear that you found our tour company wonderful and that everything we could control was handled as expected. However, we would like to clarify a few important points regarding your experience with the Blue Grotto, as some aspects of your review may give future guests an inaccurate impression of what is included in the tour and what is beyond our control. The Blue Grotto is a natural and protected site, and its access is regulated by the local authorities. Due to the extremely low entrance, visitors must transfer to small authorized rowboats and lie down briefly to enter the grotto. Only one boat can enter at a time. These are the standard conditions for visiting the Blue Grotto and are not procedures established by or controlled by our company. This information is also clearly explained in our tour description, together with pictures of the Blue Grotto and the boats. We also do not decide when the Blue Grotto opens. Its accessibility depends on the sea and weather conditions and is determined by the local authorities for safety reasons. Therefore, if the grotto is closed in the morning and opens later, we unfortunately have no control over this. Our guide simply adapts the itinerary according to the official opening. Regarding the three-hour wait, we understand that waiting under the sun was unpleasant. However, once the Blue Grotto opened, the queue and waiting time were determined by the number of visitors and the official access system, which we cannot control. We completely understand that the experience may not have been enjoyable for you personally, particularly if you are uncomfortable with confined spaces or waiting in the heat. However, these are characteristics and operating conditions of the Blue Grotto itself rather than issues with the tour service we provide. We are sorry that the experience did not meet your personal expectations, but we hope this clarification helps future travelers understand exactly what visiting the Blue Grotto involves and why some aspects of the experience cannot be controlled by the tour operator. Kind regards, Alessandra
Great tour and our guide Luigi was friendly and knowledgable .
