Onze 3 uur durende rondleiding met een erkende gids door Schindler's Factory en de voormalige Joodse gettolocatie biedt een prachtige gelegenheid om de geschiedenis van Krakau tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog te ontdekken. De tour begint met een bezoek aan Schindler's Factory, het meest bezochte museum in Krakau. Tijdens een bezoek aan de permanente tentoonstelling zullen we uitvoerig kennis maken met de geschiedenis van de Duitse bezetting van Krakau in oorlogstijd. De tentoonstelling brengt ons op de hoogte van het lot van Polen, Duitsers en Joden in het bezette Krakau – vanaf het uitbreken van de oorlog tot de twijfelachtige ‘bevrijding’ van de stad door het Rode Leger in januari 1945. Uitgerust met de kennis die we in het museum hebben opgedaan, gaan we op pad naar het voormalige getto. De locaties en historische gebeurtenissen die in het museum worden besproken, worden door onze gids getoond in de authentieke omgeving waarin ze plaatsvonden. Door de "Emalia"-fabriek en het getto in één tour te bezoeken, kun je het gecompliceerde lot van Krakau en zijn inwoners tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog volledig begrijpen en begrijpen.

My son and I did this while visiting Krakow and it was AMAZING! Aga was a fantastic guide and the tour was one of our highlights of our trip. TIP-- do this on the front end of your visit to Krakow, so you can understand the occupation of Krakow by the Nazis while you are in the city. Also, you must watch the movie Schindler's List before you come to Krakow and before taking this tour.

Super interesting and absolutely worth seeing with a guide—especially with Thomas! The museum focuses on the days leading up to and following the Occupation of Poland. The exhibit is highly interactive, with well-organized artifacts and photographs from the period. Our guide Thomas masterfully brought those days to life through his storytelling—he contextualized the entire era and was truly superb! The museum can be visited independently, but it’s nothing compared to the guided tour with Best Krakow Walks—highly recommended!
