Dit is de mooiste plek van het eiland en onderweg naar de hoogste berg van Spanje kun je genieten van de lokale producten.

Eerst rijden we langs de nieuwe snelweg naar het zeer mooie uitzichtpunt van het dorp Chirche voor een korte fotopauze. Ook om te genieten van een goed smakende lokale koffie "El Barraquito". Daarna gaan we verder naar een 500 jaar oude lavastroom van de vulkaan "Boca Cangrejo", met uitzicht op het naburige eiland La Gomera. Daarna rijden we een stukje verder het Teide National Park in, en we komen aan op een plek waar we de mogelijkheid hebben om een korte wandeling te maken naar de krater van de Sámara vulkaan. We passeren ook de oude top van de Teide "El Pico Viejo" met zijn enorme lavaveld van meer dan 5 km². Vrij recent met iets meer dan 200 jaar geleden. Verderop komen we bij de beroemde plek van het park met een prachtig landschap en de grote beroemde rotsen genaamd "Roques de García". Hier heb je wat tijd om mooie foto's te maken. Goed om mee te nemen op de tour: water, snack, comfortabele kleding en een trui of jas, zonnebril, hoed, zonnebrandcrème, comfortabele schoenen en een gezichtsmasker
Aan de overkant van de straat bij de Parador de Cañadas del Teide is ook een cafetaria en een leuke souvenirwinkel. Op de terugweg naar het zuiden stoppen we bij een prachtig uitzichtpunt van een aantal vulkanen en het enorme dennenbos. In het dorp Vilaflor vind je de oudste en grootste pijnboom "El Pino Gordo" voor onze laatste fotopauze. En last but not least, een korte rit door het wijngebied van Abono naar uw hotel.

Brilliant half day tour of mount Tiede with an excellent guide, who was very knowledgeable about the area and Tenerife in general (Philip). He spoke both English and Dutch on the tour effortlessly. Amazing scenery and plenty of stop points. The time spent at each spot was just right, giving the opportunity to explore and take pictures. Would highly recommend
A brilliant, informative, picturesque day out. Philip, our tour guide, was excellent. He seemlessly switched between English and Dutch throughout the trip and was so informative we learnt a lot about the national park and Tenerife. We would absolutely recommend this trip to Mount Teide. It was a really personalised experience, with a small group of just four people, which made it feel relaxed and enjoyable. The van was comfortable and just the right size for this kind of tour. Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable, passionate about the area, and able to speak multiple languages fluently. He clearly loves what he does and it shows in the way he shares information and looks after the group. He also brought along his little dog, who was lovely company and added a really nice touch to the experience. He is also a very careful driver which made the journey even more pleasant, especially on mountain roads. Overall, a great experience and a great choice if you are looking for something more personal and authentic.
Well worth it. Francois was very knowledgeable & approachable. The trip was a perfect pace with enough comfort breaks (make sure you have your €1 ready if you need 'to go') & opportunities to photograph the most wonderful & spectacular scenery. Highly recommended, 10/10.
Miguel was excellent. A very friendly guide who knew a lot about Tenerife and Spain in general. Great way to see some of the island; would highly recommend!

Francois provided us with a great deal of historic and geographical knowledge and not to mention stunning vistas. We also stopped at family run local shop in a small village that was lovely. I believe it was money well spent.
