Het Nationaal Archeologisch Museum is het eerste museum van de Helleense natie. Het is gelegen in het hart van Athene in Patission Avenue. In de majestueuze marmeren zalen dateren de schatten die worden gehost uit de prehistorie tot de late oudheid. Artefacten uit heel Griekenland ontvouwen zich voor de ogen van de bezoeker.

Having a guide to explain which items are most significant, and why they are significant made all the difference for our family. There's so much to see at this museum that it is overwhelming on your own. Our guide (Stella) was incredibly knowledgeable and had a perfect way of explaining everything. We highly recommend this experience!

This is an excellent museum to see Greek antiquities. You can zip thru it or take your time. (Don't expect the gift shop to be anything special. They mostly have books). It's worth going to the cafe there because they have some very interesting artwork in the courtyard.

The tour was informative, but the guide arrived sick and did not wear a mask. For a private tour, this was disappointing, as she wanted to speak closely with us.

Anta was great! She was able to introduce us to the most important exhibits within about 2h. Very knowledgeable and with the feeling of knowing what might interest us. The museum has 50 exhibition rooms, so a gigantic mass :-) Very cool was also the Skip the Line Service.... has certainly saved us 50 minutes of waiting :-) Tour I can definitely recommend!!!
