HET BLAUWE HUIS Het Blauwe Huis is het intieme universum van Frida Kahlo. Ze bracht het grootste deel van haar leven hier door, eerst met haar familie en jaren later met Diego Rivera. Deze plek ontving interessante nationale en buitenlandse persoonlijkheden, aangetrokken door de charisma van beide schilders. Frida en Diego wilden hun huis als museum achterlaten, zodat alle Mexicanen ervan konden genieten. Na de dood van de schilder plande Carlos Pellicer, een vriend van het echtpaar en museograaf en dichter, de museografie. Het beheer werd toevertrouwd aan de Diego Rivera en Frida Kahlo Museums Trust, die verbonden is aan de Bank van Mexico en in 1957 door Rivera zelf was opgericht.
Het Anahuacalli Museum is uniek. Het enige jammerlijke is dat internationale bezoekers hier meestal pas komen tijdens hun derde of vierde bezoek aan de stad. Het is volledig ontworpen door Diego Rivera en vormt een complete setting voor zijn eigen collectie pre-Spaanse kunstwerken. Maar het is ook een tempel ter ere van architectuur, muziek, ambachten en theater, dit alles in een zorgvuldig vormgegeven natuurlijke omgeving.

Fraud. We bought tickets and traveled from our country to visit the museum. Upon arrival, we were informed that our reservations were canceled by the operator Y&D Travel, who did not respond to Viator or to us. We were not the only ones in that situation. Unacceptable that they cancel and even worse that they do not show their faces.
Vendor lied and sent me tickets for 45 mins after my start time. Viator hid behind legalese and hung me out to dry.
The Frida Kahlo House is a beautiful place, full of history, and it is definitely worth visiting. Unfortunately, the staff's attitude leaves a lot to be desired: inattentive, arrogant, and with treatment that at times is abusive. It's a shame that this overshadows such a beautiful experience.
Be careful that Viator doesn't cancel your tour at the last minute, reassign you to a different time, and then send you tickets for yet a third time.
I was requesting the tickets 10 days in advance and they sent them the same day. Regarding the visit: Since I had requested a time change, I could not plan that day in advance, waiting for a response. The local operator did not respond to my requests and questions. The support agents were very kind and tried to help me.
Terrible, they did not respect the reserved and paid time. They sent tickets with a different time. We had to modify an entire itinerary.
Never got into the museum as Viator messed up the booking and sent us to the wrong address. So we arrived late and as a result were not allowed in. Very disappointing
Beware. Buy your tickets through the Musuem website. Bought a 10 AM ticket that was later re-issued at 4 PM and then when the confirmation came through it moved to 4:45. Read all the reviews about these Skip the line vendors. Total rip off.
VERY unreliable tour operator. We booked weeks in advance and they canceled a day before our tour with no explanation. Kimds ruined a day of our vacation. AVOID this company.
I booked this tour on the wrong date and politely asked them to reschedule and they ignored me and took my money. For this level of customer service, avoid these folks at all costs.
