Skip Crowed Dujingyan Panda Tour Optie Red Panda Interactive

We had a wonderful time on the Skip Crowds Dujingyan Panda Tour with the Red Panda Interactive option. Our guide, Henry, was fantastic—friendly, informative, and very accommodating. We had an afternoon train to catch, so Henry arranged to pick us up early. We arrived at the panda base around 7:30 a.m., which turned out to be perfect. There were almost no crowds, and the pandas were out and active, so we were able to really enjoy seeing them without feeling rushed. Afterward, we went to the Red Panda Forest for the interactive experience. This was definitely the highlight of the tour! Being able to see the red pandas up close in such a unique setting was an unforgettable experience and something I would absolutely recommend adding to the tour. Do not miss the Red Panda Interactive option—it is worth it! Henry made the entire day easy and enjoyable, while also making sure we stayed on schedule for our train. We would highly recommend both this tour and Henry as a guide.

We really enjoyed our experience with Jay. He is very knowledgeable about the giant pandas and red pandas, as well as the history and culture of Chengdu and Sichuan province. The highlights of our trip was definitely the red panda interactive experience (paid for separately) and we met Mr Zhang Hemin who spearheaded the giant panda conservation effort and is now consulting for the red panda conservation initiative as well. What a treat for us! Jay also took us to a lovely authentic restaurant for lunch with delicious food and ended the day with traditional clay wamao figurines that he made himself from his village. Such a great experience overall. 10/10 highly recommend!

Today's visit to the Giant Panda and Red Panda experiences was truly amazing. Our guide Libby picked up our family of three and took great care of us throughout the day. Although it seemed that a rainy day might not be great, the cooler temperatures meant it was not only perfect for walking around but also the pandas came out to play! We got to see lots of Giant Pandas up close eating bamboo. Then we got REALLY up close with Red Pandas when they climbed onto our laps! This was truly a memorable day, one we will never forget. Very prompt and great communication. Convenient and well thought out itinerary went very smoothly. David is a great guide and even better conversationalist. Went above and beyond to help me learn how to use the payment system and even put a sample itinerary together for me for the rest of my time in Chengdu city. Very helpful kind honest and friendly people. Highly recommend.

Jay was an excellent tour guide and visiting the Pandas was one of the highlights of our trip! Jay is very knowledgeable and communicates well. He explained the history and culture of the area, as well as the Panda rehabilitation efforts. He also took us for a great meal at a local restaurant, which was delicious. Highly recommend this tour over the much busier Panda Research Center.

It was such a cool experience! Our guide was great! He allowed us as much time as we liked at each area at the sanctuary! Lots of different panda areas to see and they were very active! Our guide was willing to drop us off anywhere and stop anywhere we wanted on the way home!

It was nice to see the giant Pandas up close and to see them in a natural habitat. It was also gratifying to see red pandas and able to observe them closely and feed them

The trip worked perfectly. Two days in advance, a message came via WhatsApp with all the information for pickup. The hotel pickup was on time and the about 1h drive was pleasant. During the day you will be accompanied by two different parks. The park with the red pandas is not yet a year old and currently very unknown, there were very few visitors on site. You get very close to the red pandas, but petting or similar is not possible. According to information from our driver you cannot book the excursion yourself, for foreign visitors there is no way around booking the tour. For us, however, this was no problem, as everything was very well organized. Return to the hotel was about 2pm.
