Het Koninklijk Paleis van Queluz, ook wel bekend als Nationaal Paleis van Queluz, dateert uit de 18e eeuw. Het paleis werd gebouwd als zomerverblijf voor Don Pedro de Bragança, de toekomstige koning Pedro III, en was een van de laatste grote gebouwen in rococostijl die in Europa werden gebouwd.
Het Nationaal Paleis van Sintra, ook wel bekend als het Stadspaleis, was een van de paleizen die bijna tot het einde van de monarchie, in 1910, door de Portugese koninklijke familie werden gebruikt. De bouw begon in de 15e eeuw en heeft kenmerken van middeleeuwse, gotische, manuelijnse, renaissance en romantische architectuur
Het fantastische Palácio da Pena is een van de beste voorbeelden van 19e-eeuwse romantische revivalisme in Portugal. Gelegen op de top van Monte da Pena, werd het paleis gebouwd op de plaats van een oud klooster dat toebehoorde aan de Orde van St. Jerome. Guincho is een favoriete plek voor surfers in Lissabon wanneer de deining zich niet in de stedentrips wikkelt. Guincho is een lang, open strand dat zelden vlak is, maar ook wordt blootgesteld aan wind - vandaar zijn populariteit als een zomerse windsurfplek. Het produceert echter wel kwaliteitsgolven, die het beste werken bij eb wanneer lange, wankelende links en rechten zich rond verschuivende oevers kunnen vormen. Cascais is het hele jaar door resort op slechts 40 minuten van Lissabon. Koningen en aristocraten zijn hier op vakantie geweest en het is gemakkelijk te begrijpen waarom.
Estoril is al lang de kosmopolitische vakantiebestemming van de rijken en beroemdheden aan de Portugese Rivièra, maar heeft een elegantie die vaker wordt toegeschreven aan resorts aan de Côte d'Azur. Verbannen royalty's en afgezette despoten maakten dit hun toevluchtsoord tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog

Absolutely first class service. We had a personally curated tour of Lisbon and surrounding area with excellent recommendations for walks, museums, cultural and general interest places and a wonderful lunch stop. Pedro’s knowledge and friendly demeanour is a pleasure to behold. We would not hesitate to recommend his services and indeed hope to use him again in the future. Highly recommended!

A marvellous whole day. Pedro enabled us to see the sights, in a comfortable and mega efficient way as we were only in Lisbon for two days. He booked tickets ahead so no queues and sorted a lovely table for lunch. Sintra was a beautiful highlight. Saw soooo many Tuk-Tuks stuck in queues up to castle. Worth the difference. V comfortable.
The day trip with Peter was absolutely amazing. This is my second time using him as a guide around Portugal and he exceeds expectations!! We saw so much in just 8 hours and he had the best recommendations on what to do and food spots. He is incredibly funny and knows so much about Portugal. Pedro was an amazing guide and our 2 full days of touring Lisbon and the surrounding areas was a highlight of our trip to Portugal. He is a native of Lisbon and enjoys sharing his in depth knowledge of his culture and its history. He was very flexible and was able to pivot to change plans as necessary. As an added bonus, he is quite the foodie and was happy to share a number of wonderful restaurant recommendations. Pedro is amazing! We asked our hotel (Sheraton) to arrange something private and exclusive for me and my wife to visit Sintra and some surrounding towns as an all-day day trip. They hooked us up with Pedro, and we were very glad that they did. Pedro delivered for us. He had a beautiful and roomy car, bottled water, and was very flexible with us on any accommodation we needed. He grabbed us an awesome table at a lunch spot in Guincho where we could see the water and the fish was fresh. He was very patient while we toured inside at a couple of key spots, and overall we had a very pleasant time.

Pedro was spectacular, professional, and very knowledgeable! We do quite a bit of traveling. I’m at 83 countries now and we spent some time in Spain in Portugal. Our hotel is Sheridan connected us with Pedro and we utilized him for tours and some other transportation needs we had while looking at some properties. He was spectacular, again, very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure our experiences were perfect. Further, the vehicle was beautiful.
