Wat deze tour echt uniek maakt, is de naadloze combinatie van de verborgen pareltjes van de Praagse Burcht en het belangrijkste hoogtepunt - de Sint-Vituskathedraal. Alle entreegelden zijn inbegrepen, dus je betaalt op de dag zelf geen cent extra. De route is zorgvuldig ontworpen om vooral bergafwaarts te gaan, waardoor de wandeling gemakkelijk en comfortabel is. De ervaring wordt geleid door een lokale Praagse Gids die authentieke verhalen, geschiedenis en insider inzichten deelt die je niet in gidsen vindt.

Pohořelec is het ontmoetingspunt en de startlocatie van de tour. We ontmoeten elkaar om 09.00 uur bij het standbeeld van St. John van Nepomuk. Dit rustige plein in de buurt van de Praagse Burcht is een ideale plek om de ervaring te beginnen voordat u de historische straten en verborgen juweeltjes van het gebied ingaat.
Strahov Library is een van de mooiste historische bibliotheken ter wereld. Tijdens een kort begeleid bezoek zullen we de theologische en filosofische zalen bewonderen en meer leren over de geschiedenis van het klooster, zeldzame manuscripten en prachtige barokke decoratie.
Nový Svět is een verborgen, sprookjesachtige straat in de buurt van de Praagse Burcht. Tijdens een korte begeleide wandeling verkennen we de rustige hoekjes, kleurrijke huizen en horen we verhalen over voormalige bewoners, kunstenaars en de unieke sfeer ver van de drukte.
Het Hradčanyplein biedt een van de meest indrukwekkende uitzichtpunten in Praag. Tijdens een korte begeleide stop verkennen we de grootse architectuur, adellijke paleizen en leren we over de historische rol van het plein voor de poorten van de Praagse Burcht.
Uitgebreid begeleid bezoek aan de Sint-Vituskathedraal, waardoor u meer inzicht krijgt in de geschiedenis, kunst en architectuur.
Begeleid bezoek aan de Sint-Jorisbasiliek en ontdek het Romaanse interieur en de diepe middeleeuwse wortels.
Daarna nemen we de kabelbaan naar de Petřín-heuvel en uiteindelijk beklimmen we samen de Tsjechische versie van de Eiffeltoren – Petřínská rozhledna. Onze beloning is een panoramisch uitzicht over het grote Praag - niet alleen op het centrum, maar ook op de buitenwijken en verder gelegen omgevingen, b.v. vulkanen van het České Středohoří-gebergte. Van daaruit keren we door de prachtige natuur van het Petřín-park en de Strahov-tuinen terug naar Pohořelec, waar we onze wandeling beëindigen.
Daal de oude kasteeltrap af met een schilderachtig uitzicht, die de Praagse Burcht verbindt met de Kleine Stad boven de riviervallei.
Bezoek de Valdštejn Tuin, een rustige barokke oase met fonteinen, beelden en pauwen onder het kasteel.
De tour eindigt om 13:00 uur op het Malostranske-plein, een locatie met veel restaurants, bars en verbindingen om op plaatsen te komen waar je zou moeten komen.

Barbra is the gold standard of tour guides. Her expertise on Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral was outstanding, but it was her personal stories of life under Communism in Prague that truly took our breath away. A wonderful gothic cathedral, perfect line at the box office, they give you the ticket with the map , great cumulative price advice to add the bell tower view of the wonderful city

Superb, richly decorated and preserved library. In the autumn, the colours of the park surrounding the monastery returned an exceptional pomp, the site is absolutely worth a visit!

Adam was excellent. He knew his history and was made the day an enjoyable experience. While Prague has some significant elevation changes, we seemed to be walking downhill all day. History, food, beer made for an informative day.

This was just a wonderful day visiting sites that were all centrally located and yet somehow a little off the beaten path. Unlike the big sites that are overwhelmed with tourists by late morning, I kept wondering why more tourists weren't around us all day long. I would argue that some of the things that we saw on this tour were as beautiful as anything we saw on the tours of the more well-known sites, but we could take the time to explore and enjoy them with our guide because they weren't anywhere near as busy. The highlights for me were Saint Nicholas church and the unbelievably beautiful libraries at the monastery - but everything we saw that day was special. This tour should not be a replacement of a visit to all of the iconic sites in Prague, but if you have a week to spend in the city like we did, this tour is well worth your time later in the week. In particular, our guide was accommodating, thoughtful, and well informed and made the experience all the better.

Communication on where and when to start the tour was excellent with was able to meet our guide with ease. The tour itself was informative, flexible and our guide ensured we stayed on track for timing while meeting our tempo. We never felt rushed and our guide was a wealth of information as we peppered him with a ton of questions. He is professional, knowledgeable and so very personable, putting us at ease immediately. We knew that we were in good hands and had no worries. His recommendations were top notched and had a ton of options for lunch. Overall, an excellent tour and would definitely recommend!

Fantastic trip. Lots of walking. Learned lots of history. Food was ok. Tour guide very knowledgeable and very nice. The river cruise at the end was very relaxing. Would recommend.
