Silom Thai Cooking School biedt een leuke en meeslepende ervaring voor iedereen die de kunst van de Thaise keuken wil leren. Gelegen in het hart van Bangkok, begint de klas met een rondleiding door een lokale markt waar deelnemers verse ingrediënten selecteren. Terug op de kookschool begeleiden ervaren chef-koks je door de bereiding van verschillende traditionele gerechten, zoals pad Thai, groene curry en mangokleefrijst. De hands-on ervaring is zowel leerzaam als onderhoudend, waardoor je inzicht krijgt in de Thaise cultuur en culinaire technieken. Het is een perfecte activiteit voor zowel foodliefhebbers als aspirant-koks. Het menu bestaat uit Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai noedel, Som Tum Salade en Mango Sticky Rice.

Uw dag begint met een reis naar de lokale markt waar u wordt geïnstrueerd over hoe u de ingrediënten correct kiest en de items krijgt die u voor de dag nodig hebt. Op school begint je instructie. Je kookt vijf heerlijke Thaise gerechten, elk vanaf nul. De kunst van het maken van Thais eten komt van de zorgvuldige stappen die er naartoe leiden en je krijgt elk moment een echte ervaringservaring. Onder begeleiding van de koks kun je deze geweldige gerechten op de juiste manier maken en nieuwe vaardigheden ontwikkelen!

What an incredible experience and so well organized! We started by walking to the market, where our teacher shared details about the ingredients we were buying and how locals eat. Then we returned to the school and started cooking. We were able to cook, then eat, then cook the next course, eat it, etc. We also each cooked a single serving, so you were only eating what you prepared. The most impressive part was the organization of the class. There were three areas - prep, cooking, and eating. We would prep the ingredients to create our mise en place. We would then take that to the cooking area, and while we were there, the staff would clear the prep area and set it up for our next course. It was all so seamless and well done! Just wish I had brought more cash for a tip and to buy a chopping block at the school. Our teacher was knowledgeable and fun. She was very attentive to everyone and you could tell she took pride in sharing her Thai culture through food. And, the cookbook includes all recipes, not just the ones of the class you chose.

Experience really fantastic, our chef helps us to prepare the 5 dishes in a good mood by making us laugh ... the dishes are delicious , the colors make great photo... to do absolutely .. unforgettable we leave with a cookbook to forget nothing...and a little gift in addition to our diploma...

Very nice and fun teacher. Everyone gets their own wok, so you can decide how spicy you want to eat. The Location is very pretty and clean. The eating room is airconditioned, which is very nice.

An absolutely incredible time! Our instructor Mee was so totally engaging and informative. She made it feel like we were all honored guests in her own personal kitchen. Moreover, the entire curriculum was well crafted and executed. The market tour was so fun, ingredients we used could not have been fresher, and the food we ended up with could not have been tastier. We will book again when we return to Bangkok.

Went to the afternoon class and it was thoroughly enjoyable, Nuy our teacher was both informative and funny which made her class great. We made 5 different meals and all were very tasty and easy to cook. Would recommend this cooking school to anyone that wants to learn how to cook a few Thai dishes.

Amazing! I learnt how to cook my 5 favourite Thai dishes! Tom Yum soup , Thai green curry , Som Tum salad, sticky mango rice etc.. And in the most easy way. Nice Atmosphere, clean equipments, wonderful staff , and the Food is Halal ! All in one! We learned a lot and got delicious Dinner !
