Geniet van een unieke ervaring met een snorkeltour door Silfra spleet! Zweef tussen twee tektonische platen, tussen de continenten, in het helderste water ter wereld (100m + zicht) terwijl je de betoverende kleuren van deze onderwaterwereld bewondert. Je hoeft geen gecertificeerde duiker te zijn om water op zijn helderst te ervaren! Snorkelen bij Silfra is geschikt voor iedereen die zich op zijn gemak voelt in water en weet hoe te zwemmen. Deze gezinsvriendelijke activiteit is geschikt voor kinderen vanaf 12 jaar. De snorkeltour van Silfra wordt gedaan in een droogpak, waardoor je warm en droog blijft in het pak terwijl je zwemt in het koude, kristalheldere water. Silfra is gelegen in Thingvellir National Park dat is een Unesco erfgoed site. Het prachtige park is een van de wonderen op de beroemde Gouden Cirkel route.

We halen je op in Reykjavík en brengen je naar Thingvellir National Park. Tijdens de rit van een uur geeft uw gids u informatie over de unieke geologie en culturele geschiedenis van IJsland en Silfra, evenals de omgeving van het UNESCO-werelderfgoed. Zodra uw groep van maximaal 6 personen is gevormd, geeft uw gids u uw droogpak, warm onderpak en snorkeluitrusting. Uw gids legt uit hoe u deze uitrusting gebruikt en hoe u ervoor kunt zorgen dat u het tijdens uw tocht warm heeft. Je kunt je omkleden in onze verwarmde wisselbus en de gids helpt je met het aantrekken van alle spullen. Wij raden aan om lang ondergoed en dikke sokken te dragen. De briefing en het voorbereiden duurt ongeveer 1 uur. Je loopt in 5 minuten naar Silfra en begint je 30 - 45 minuten durende snorkeltocht door Silfra Hall, de Silfra-kathedraal en de Silfra-lagune. Na het snorkelen in het koude water warmen we je op met warme chocolademelk en koekjes. Dit is je kans om met je gids te praten.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ophaalservice is alleen beschikbaar in het centrum van Reykjavik bij geselecteerde hotels en bushaltes. Zorg ervoor dat u hier rekening mee houdt voordat u uw tour boekt. Als u buiten het centrale gebied van Reykjavik verblijft, stuur ons dan een bericht en wij zullen u vertellen waar u ons kunt ontmoeten. Houd er rekening mee dat we buiten Reykjavik geen ophaalservice hebben.

- Alle deelnemers dienen een medisch formulier in te vullen alvorens deel te nemen aan de tour. Neem contact op met de lokale operator om het formulier via e-mail aan te vragen.
- Alle informatie over lengte, gewicht en leeftijd van de deelnemer moet aan de lokale operator worden verstrekt om ervoor te zorgen dat ze het best passende droogpak meenemen. De touroperator neemt na boeking contact met u op om deze informatie te vragen.
- Deelnemers moeten minimaal 12 jaar oud zijn
- Droogpakken draag je over je eigen kleding. We raden aan om lang thermisch ondergoed en dikke wollen sokken als basislaag onder het droogpak te dragen
- Minimumlengte is 150cm Minimumgewicht is 45 kg.
- Maximale lengte en gewicht zijn 200 cm en 120 kg.
- Deelnemers moeten zich comfortabel voelen in het water, kunnen zwemmen en fysiek fit en gezond zijn
- Houd er rekening mee dat drysuits soms strak en beklemmend kunnen aanvoelen
- Alle deelnemers moeten in het Engels kunnen communiceren

- BELANGRIJK - Deelnemers van 60 jaar en ouder moeten het goedkeuringsformulier laten ondertekenen door hun arts om deel te kunnen nemen

Unreal experience. I wouldn't advise anyone with new or sensitive ear piercings to go as the hood is very tight and can irritate you ears. Staff are so friendly and helpful
Our guide Isabella was so fun and we could tell that she really knew what she was doing. The atmosphere was fun and lively, but since it does require some safety precautions it is not something I'd recommend for people with claustrophobia or those fearful of the ocean. We felt completely safe with our guide and it was exhilarating to have this once-in-a-lifetime experience!
We had a fantastic time. Pick up offered at a stop near hotel. Perfect. The experience was outstanding. Our guide/diver Anaiza was perfect. Explained everything. She was with us the entire time.

Our snorkel guide was Jenny, she was absolutely amazing and took care of every single need we had during this experience. She made sure our gear was on correctly and that our masks and snorkel were fitted properly! This was a big deal for me because nothing ever fits me right and she took the time to make me feel at ease with the whole process of dry suit and wetsuit! My daughter is a geologist/teacher and this has been on her bucket list for over 20 years! She and her husband and I had the best time and would highly recommend it! Thank you, thank you!
Great experience not to be missed. Changing facilities leave a lot to be desired (back of a van). Other than that would I recommend, in a heartbeat.
Wow... incredible experience. Once in a lifetime. You did not need any snorkeling experience or even know how to swim. You float very easily. They pick you up in a warm bus, drive you to the place, you get fitted for your dry suit and they help you put it on, then you waddle down to the water. Even with the dry suit, it was FREEZING so definitely wear WARM layers underneath and thick socks. My suit did not leak anywhere except around my head but not enough for it to be a problem. The water is incredibly clear and calm. No fish or anything but you can see forever. It is very cool. You have an area inside the bus to change out of your wet clothes if needed and bundle up and it is heated. They served hot chocolate afterwards and the pictures turned out SO cool. Loved the experience.
Wow! What an incredible experience! The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful from pick up to drop off. We were given all the equipment needed and received excellent safety guidance prior to entering the water. Shout out to Quim, our snorkeling guide. One guy in our group of 6 was struggling/panicking a bit. Quim was so patient, reassuring and kind. He problem solved on the fly and gave us all an experience we’ll never forget. Quim also took some outstanding pictures that I’ve shared with anyone who will look!!
I had an excellent time with James the pick up from my hotel stop was easy and the instructions on site for snorkeling were clear and the instructors did a great job of securing my dry suit. It was an unforgettable memory.
A once in a lifetime experience would highly recommend it. Our driver James was amazing and so lovely. For the Snorkelling I was in Konrads group and he made me feel so comfortably especially since i’ve never been snorkelling before. The weather wasn’t the best but the guides were outstanding with making sure we were all safe and calm when going into the water and after. If you’re going to Iceland i’d most definitely book this,, the best experience!
