Verken de 'Parel van de Golf' tijdens deze tour vanuit Dubai naar Sharjah, de op twee na grootste stad van de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten. Er wachten u opmerkelijke attracties en bezienswaardigheden in de nabijgelegen stad, waaronder het fort van Sharjah (Al Hisn Sharjah) en de indrukwekkende Faisal-moskee. Bezoek het Sharjah Heritage Museum voor een kijkje in de Arabische geschiedenis, religie en cultuur, en koop wat souvenirs in soek Al Arsah en soek Al Markazi, de grootste markten van het emiraat.

Je 4,5-uur durende tour begint met een pick-up van je centrale hotel in Dubai en een rit naar Sharjah, een van de naburige emiraten van Dubai. Sharjah ligt aan de oevers van de Arabische Golf en is de op twee na grootste stad van de VAE en draait om een gerestaureerde oude binnenstad met prachtige erfgoedgebieden, souks en musea.
Luister onderweg naar de geschiedenis van Sharjah in je gids en stop eerst bij de pittoreske Buhairah Corniche met een fotostop bij de prachtige Al Noor-moskee voordat je naar de grootste moskee in Sharjah gaat, de King Faisal-moskee voor enkele foto's.
Ga vervolgens verder naar de King Faisal-moskee, de grootste van de 300 moskeeën van het emiraat. Bewonder het prachtige gebouw en leer hoe het werd gebouwd voor 15.000 aanbidders.
Bezoek vervolgens het Islamic Civilization Museum, dat de islamitische bijdrage aan het werelderfgoed viert.
Rij dan naar Sharjah's ‘Old Town’ voor een wandeling door de gerestaureerde traditionele Souk Al Arsa-markt.
Bezoek Sharjah Heritage Museum voor een glimp van een traditioneel familiehuis en de typische Arabische Golfarchitectuur.
De laatste stop voor terugkeer is in Souk Al Markazi - een schatkamer van tapijten, sieraden en handwerk. Je tour wordt dan afgesloten met een drop-off in je hotel in Dubai.

- Minimaal 2 volwassenen vereist. Ophalen vindt plaats in een geschikt voertuig op basis van delen van verschillende hotels.
- Kinderen jonger dan 5 jaar oud moeten in een kinderzitje zitten tijdens het reizen in elk voertuig in de VAE. Als je een kind jonger dan 5 jaar hebt, doe dit dan in de opmerkingen.
- Kledingvoorschrift: lichtgewicht zomerkleding is geschikt voor het grootste deel van het jaar, maar truien of jassen kunnen nodig zijn voor de wintermaanden, vooral 's avonds. Goede kwaliteit zonnebrillen worden geadviseerd. Hoeden zijn aan te raden in direct zonlicht.
- Gasten die de VAE bezoeken tijdens de zomermaanden (juni - september) worden erop gewezen dat piektemperaturen overdag soms 42 - 45 graden Celsius bereiken. De luchtvochtigheid kan tijdens deze periode ook hoger zijn dan 90 procent. We raden al onze gasten aan om voldoende voorzorgsmaatregelen te nemen.

Nice to know about Sharjah which is different than Dubai city. Can visit the place in half day. Our tour guide Sumaira was very good explaining the culture and traditions of the city.

I enjoyed the tour. The guide was very knowledable and ensured we had our questions answered. It was just the right amount of time to see the highlights.
Sharjah Central Souq was a place to relish. going around the Blue Souq gives your a feel of local shopping. I enjoyed the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization the most, dont miss the top floor star painted ceiling. The guides are fluent in English and in just 3-4 hrs you get to understand Sharjah upclose.

Overall - average rating. I wouldn't go if knew in advance what's the tour going to be like. Please see below a couple of comments: - tour is very much like driving from one spot to another - out of the entire list, you will actually see two places: the old Souq (i.e. market) and very briefly the Museum of Islamic culture, other stops are literally stops - you get out of the van and snap photos with a two line explanation - the Museum of Islamic culture is a heavy historical place - which is somehow left without much attention to it - last hour you are given free time at the mall (i.e. Central Souq) which is completely out of my expectations, I wouldn't get the guided tour to be brought to the shopping mall to wander aroud - all mosques which are in the program are photo stop only with 2-4 minutes explanatory note and plenty of free time, but (!) you are not allowed inside the mosque As a recommendation for tour management: from my point of view - the tour needs a significant re-design or price re-considered. A price of nearly $35 for this tour, compared to the $42 tour to Abu Dhabi (a day long) - this is just day and night. Abu Dhabi was amazing, the guide was very much engaging and easy going, lots of information and places covered. Maybe this is a matter of the guide as well - but it's for the company to consider (not sure the feedback is read).

However, we would like to clarify a few points that were raised in your review: The tour you had joined was a sharing basis bilingual excursion conducted in 2 languages – German & English. Our tour guide Abdullah, bilingual in German & English, is one of our most experienced tour guides and we are surprised having received this feedback for him. As this was a sharing basis tour, our tour guide had to follow a fixed itinerary and cover all stops as planned. The excursion was conducted as per the description. The two mosques i.e. Al Noor Mosque and King Faisal mosque, we covered in our excursion are photo stops only and it’s indeed not allowed for tourists to enter inside as per rules and regulation of local authorities during our tour. Our tour guide covered the Sharjah Islamic museum and the Sharjah Heritage museum as promised all the while giving explanations about the history of the stops in 2 languages and also covered Souq Al Arsa - a direct contrast to the super modern, glitzy malls in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. A piece of history well preserved featuring traditional Arabian architecture and the typical ‘Bedouin’ style atmosphere that allows visitors to haggle for goods like the Arabs used in the old days. The Souq Al Markazi or Central/Blue Souq is a stop in which we provide the guests with free time to explore the Souq or to shop for souvenirs by themselves. We apologize for not being able to meet your expectations. We do hope that if you do visit the U.A.E. in future, we will be able to serve you again. We would recommend choosing a private excursion experience with an exclusive vehicle and tour guide just for you and an itinerary that is flexible to suit your preferences. <p>The tour operator has arranged for hotel pickup and drop kindly call the tour operator 2 days before the tour to inform your UAE mobile number and hotel details English speaking guide. The whole Sharjah tour was awesome. I really enjoyed the tour eventhough it was just a 4 hour tour short. So I request everyone to combine Dubai city tour and Sharjah city tour into one day and inform the tour operators in advance.</p>
<p>5 hour tour. Picked us up at our hotel in Dubai. A 20 mt. ride to neighboring Sharjah City. Apparantly many people live in Shajah and commute to Dubai daily as it tis cheaper to live here. The best part of our tour was visiting the Islamic museum, King Faizal mosque, Sharjah heritage center and last but not least visit to the 2 markets where you could get all kinds of thiings to buy. This Emirate has a tranquil quality and few beaches. Though we did not see too many people in the beach were told that they'll arrive later in the evening when it is cooler. Sharjah is called the pearl of the gulf for the right . This trip in my opinion was well worth, inexpensive and wouldn't miss it.</p>
<p>Really enjoyable afternoon! The best part of this tour is the Islamic Museum, which is beautiful and well organized. Sharjah is an active city, but much calmer than Dubai. Would recommend just for the trip to the museum.</p>
