Je zult de unieke manier van leven ontdekken van degenen die aan het Tonle Sap-meer in Cambodja wonen, dat wordt erkend als een UNESCO-biosfeerreservaat - het grootste meer in Zuidoost-Azië. Geniet van een korte rit per jeep in de open lucht door de schilderachtige omgeving van de grootste zoetwatermassa van Zuidoost-Azië. Rijd over de rode onverharde wegen door een van de mooiste landschappen van Siem Reap. Deze tour is een geweldige manier om Siem Reap voorbij de tempels te verkennen en een beter idee te krijgen van het Cambodjaanse leven in het drijvende dorp terwijl je veel plezier hebt in een jeep. De avond wordt afgesloten met een privébootcruise op de waterweg terwijl u geniet van lokale lekkernijen en versnaperingen, de perfecte manier om in alle rust te genieten van het uitzicht op de zonsondergang op het Tonle Sap-meer.

We halen je om 15.00 uur op bij je hotel in een jeep en rijden ten zuiden van Siem Reap door het pittoreske Cambodjaanse platteland.
Je reisschema omvat een lokale champignonkwekerij en fabriek om te leren hoe paddenstoelen worden gekweekt met behulp van technische methoden, een rijstwijnstokerij waar je ook lokale rijstwijn in Cambodja kunt proberen!
We stoppen bij een lokaal familiehuis omringd door rijstvelden. Hier nippen we aan een koude kokosnoot of een lokaal sapje, ontmoeten we de familie en brengen we tijd met hen door om te leren over hun boerenleven.
We rijden dan naar een nabijgelegen rivier en pendelen per boot door de drijvende dorpen, waar de vriendelijke lokale bevolking je begroet met een glimlach en enthousiaste golven. Hier krijgt u een fascinerend inzicht in de manier waarop de lokale bevolking in deze regio leeft. Uw lokale gids zal het Tonle Sap-meer in meer detail beschrijven en u vertellen over het fenomeen dat een diepteverschil van maximaal acht meter veroorzaakt en waarom dit meer van vitaal belang is voor het voortbestaan van Cambodja. Je zult dit nieuwe perspectief op Cambodja waarderen terwijl je langs de rivier vaart.
Om de avond compleet te maken maken we een boottocht op de waterweg met lokale lekkernijen, waaronder frisdrank en andere koude dranken, terwijl we genieten van een spectaculair uitzicht op Tonle Sap in de schemering. We kunnen verwachten rond 19.00 uur weer in de stad aan te komen, afhankelijk van de seizoenen en het tijdstip van zonsondergang.

The floating village and lake tour with sunset is the highlight of this trip. The jeep tour part is really cool (real US army classic jeep) and the visits to farms show you what life is like for the Cambodian people. Our guide Bunsom was very knowledgeable.

Great trip 4 hours in the afternoon to outskirts of SR to sample farm, village and floating houses on the lake, all by jeep. The itinerary catered for a taste of authentic in a home/farm, with insights into daily life, in addition to the nearby mushroom farm along dusty roads from village to village, then a short stop at temple, before on the boat to see stilt house and floating home along the lake. Top notch insights and super guide by Bunsom who provided an awesome, fun, adventurous and informative tour.
