Verlaat het treinstation van Cobh voor een mooie treinrit naar Cork om het Blarney Castle and Gardens te bezoeken tijdens deze 6,5 uur durende tour. Kus de Blarney Stone als je wilt en verken vervolgens Cork tijdens een stadstour voordat je terugkeert naar Cobh. Als je eenmaal terug bent in Cobh, bezoek je de begraafplaats om meer te weten te komen over de slachtoffers van de Lusitania, voordat je wordt teruggebracht naar je schip.

Inchecken om 9:50 uur op het Victoriaanse Cobh-treinstation om 10 uur later uw trein te verlaten. Geniet van een schilderachtige treinreis vanaf Cobh, langs de oevers van de rivier de Lee met uitzicht op Blackrock Castle voordat u Cork Kent Station bereikt. Stap over op Blarney Castle and Gardens, waar je de beroemde Blarney Stone kunt kussen als je wilt. Er is vrije tijd om te winkelen en lunchen (op eigen kosten) in Blarney Village. Ontdek Cork vervolgens op een rondleiding door de stad, waar u tijdens uw korte bezoek de bezienswaardigheden en geluiden van de beroemde Engelse markt zult ervaren.

This was a great way to visit Blarney Castle from Cobh without worrying about transportation or timing back to the ship. The tour starts right at the Cobh train station next to the cruise port, making it very easy to find. Staff members were friendly, organized, and did an excellent job checking everyone in and explaining what to expect before boarding. The train ride itself was comfortable and scenic. Blarney Castle and the surrounding grounds were definitely the highlight of the day. The gardens are peaceful, beautifully maintained, and really make you feel transported back in time. Climbing the narrow stone staircase to kiss the Blarney Stone was a fun experience, and we appreciated that the posted wait times along the route were very accurate. After exploring the castle and grounds, we had time to walk through the village, grab something to eat, and enjoy the area before continuing the tour. The remainder of the excursion through Cork and back to the ship was informative and relaxed. We’re glad we chose this excursion and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cobh by cruise ship.

I enjoyed myself, but it was too much time spent inside the castle. I wish I had more time to look in shops & time to sit down & eat .
Hi Printess, Thanks for your 3-star review. We allocate sufficient time at Blarney Castle for our guests to explore the grounds, gardens, shops and the castle itself at their own pace. You can spend as long as you wish at any part of Blarney, whether that be the castle or at the restaurants and shops. It was a great experience, the driver of the bus gave us a lot of time at each stop. The only bad thing was even though he gave us enough time at Blarney Castle, we didn't think it was enough to get up to the Blarney Stone and still see more of the grounds

Our tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and approachable with questions. He took his time to answer everyone’s questions. The train ride was a different twist but overall it added to the charm. Our bus driver was outstanding. I drive a large vehicle on small mountain roads so I respect how well our driver did with a large bus on these little roads. Outstanding. There’s nothing Viator can do about it but my only regret is that we have more time to explore and see the property.

Excellent excursion. The trip was informative and historical. It was nice to not worry about tickets or catching a cab
It was a great tour. It covered many interesting locations, including the Blarney Castle. It gave a great overview of Cork. Andrew, the guide, was so knowledgeable and entertaining and kind. Darrin was an amazing driver and also very kind. I would highly recommend this tour. Great value for the price.
An outstanding tour. What made it special was the tour guide, a local man who truly knows this history and has personal experience with the area. I learned a lot about Irish history and am inspired to learn more when I get home.
